Hi there! I’m Jalisa Burton, co-founder of Divine Birthing Services and a proud Full Spectrum Doula and Certified Effective Black Parenting Educator. Supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and beyond is more than what I do — it’s who I am. For me, this work is a divine calling, one that allows me to help parents feel safe, respected, and deeply supported during one of life’s most powerful journeys. My approach is rooted in compassion, education, and empowerment. I believe every parent deserves to feel seen, heard, and cared for in a way that honors their values and choices. Whether it’s offering emotional reassurance, sharing evidence-based guidance, or simply holding space, my goal is always to create an environment where families can embrace birth with confidence and peace of mind. Before stepping into birthwork, I proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard, where I learned the importance of service, resilience, and standing strong for others. Those same values now shape how I show up for families — with steady support, calm presence, and unwavering dedication. Beyond birthwork, I’m a wife and mom of three, which means I know firsthand the joys, challenges, and transformations that come with parenting.
