Hi! My name is Erika Tate! I am a birth photographer located in Pass Christian MS. I serve the Gulf Coast of MS, from Ocean Springs MS to Slidell LA. I have a passion for capturing your whole birth story; from the beginning of labor all the way through to your golden hour with baby here Earthside! I have 4 kids with my amazing husband. I homeschool and spend a lot of time learning about homesteading! I enjoy the simple and slow pleasures of life. I never turn down an opportunity to chat about birth, and I truly find birth photography to be a passion project of mine!

Babies have always been my passion! Like Tisha said, I always knew my career would be working with babies. I applied to nursing school knowing I was going to work in OB and that's exactly what I did. After having my first child in 2014 I realized the need for more lactation consultants. I struggled a lot with him and had no one to turn to for answers, so I began doing my own research. I was determined to make this work. And that is how my lactation career started! I started my lactation training not even knowing if I would be able to get a job doing what I had become so passionate about. My family and I made some life changes and everything fell right into place. Tisha and I always casually talked about starting a business but never in my wildest dreams did I think it would actually happen. But here we are! I absolutely love my job and could talk about breastfeeding all day long. I strive to do everything I can to help each mom meet their personal breastfeeding goals. I am very passionate about tongue ties and food allergies in breastfeeding since I personally experienced that with my 2 nursing journeys. Breastfeeding does not come naturally for everyone and it definitely isn't as easy as some think. That's why I have made it my life mission to educate every mom and give them all the tools and support needed to be successful!

I’m Ambuir a registered nurse and birth doula providing clients with in-depth childbirth education and hands on birth support for any birth they desire.

River Region Lactation serves central Alabama with 4 IBCLC certified lactation consultants with over 20yrs combined experience! We offer prenatal consults, breastfeeding help, guidance on going back to work, starting solids, weaning and anything in between! We offer in-home, office, telehealth, and phone consultations.

I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), RN, Advanced Practice Nurse and have been actively engaged in helping mothers and babies breastfeed successfully for over a decade. I work as a Lactation Consultant in a local hospital and conduct Baby Cafe' support groups for mothers and babies.
