Hi there! My name is Katie Sam Smith. I am a birth doula based in Bowling Green, KY and serving the surrounding KY/TN area. I am passionate about matrescence and want to help my clients envision and accomplish the birth of their dreams! I am a mom to a miracle baby, and my pregnancy involved a very rare diagnosis, fetal surgery, bedrest, and a NICU stay (when my original plan was a homebirth!). I am well aware of how vulnerable and scary this season of life can be. But I also know that your body and your baby were MADE to do this! My goal is not to teach you how to birth, make choices for you, or replace your partner. My goal is to provide you with information as well as physical, emotional, and spiritual support so that you can feel confident walking into your birth. I have been told that I instinctively know how to support my clients, and that I am a calming presence. Due to my son's diagnosis, I am also a veteran at communicating with medical personnel and advocating for those in vulnerable situations.
