Hello, I'm Jennifer Thompson, a Certified Full Spectrum Holistic Doula, proudly born and raised in Far Rockaway, Queens, NY. My journey into this field was inspired by my own challenging experiences during the births of my three children. Today, I'm dedicated to advocating for birthing individuals during this vulnerable yet incredibly beautiful time in their lives. My mission is to ensure that no birthing person has to endure mistreatment, especially with a strong focus on addressing the high mortality rates among Black women during childbirth. I'm committed to being a part of the positive change in my community. In addition to my doula services, I now offer a range of organic herb blends designed to promote relaxation, detoxification, and rejuvenation. It's my way of providing holistic support to those I serve.

I’m the founder of Pardon My Partum and a total #boymom of two. I am also a 2x postpartum disorder survivor; Undiagnosed with my first son, I was triggered to find a better way to support working mothers, like myself. When I couldn’t find the tools and resources, I decided to be what was needed. I took my 30,000+ hours of experience as a mom, became a certified doula, childbirth educator and trained on perinatal mental health. So when I say I get it, I truly do. As a mother of three, I've walked the journey of birth and parenthood with both uncertainty and empowerment. My own experiences have taught me the profound impact that supportive care and holistic approach can have on a woman's transition into motherhood. At 20, I became a mom to my daughter Ava, navigating a medicated 12-hour labor and the challenges that followed. Despite the difficulties, I was determined to grow and learn. With my second child, Maxim, I discovered the strength of my body and the power of natural birth. However, it wasn't until the birth of my third child, Natalie, that I truly embodied the transformative potential of holistic birth and parenting. Through dedicated preparation, self-care, and community support, I cultivated a profound trust in my own abilities and the natural process of birth. As a certified doula through The Matrona, I've been blessed to learn from the wisdom of Whapio and the Matrona lineage. I trained in 2016 with DTI and I’m a certified labor and postpartum doula. I currently work with a group that provides labor and postpartum support. I enjoy doing overnight care between the hours of 9 pm to 6 am. I have experience in breastfeeding support, specialty bottle feeding, exclusive pumping, perinatal mood disorders, and more. I enjoy spending time outside with my family, reading, and playing games.
