I am from a long line of montessori certified child development specialist. for as long as I can remember I've been a natural caregiver, building that into a passionate career was an easy choice. (plus...cuddling babies!) through my training and experience I've become an expert in child development and learned the importance of providing newborns with the building blocks to form strong loving attachments, healthy sleep habits, and a routine that helps both baby and family thrive. I am a montessori trained NCS and in my 5 years of services as an overnight doula my clients never fail to express too me how much my love, consideration, and comforting guidance has impacted their families lives. I believe love and secure attachment in all aspects of babies life is key to healthy development. It is my honor to join in the care of your new family!

My name is Jalyn and I am a holistically trained full-spectrum doula, placenta encapsulation specialist, and Certified Lactation Education Specialist! My contribution to birth-work is an extension of my spiritual practice that creates a sacred and safe space for truth, radically honest storytelling, generational karmic clearing, sovereign decision making, incorporating forgotten herbal and ancestral practices, reinforcing the importance of community support, and my capacity to support parents in a way that encompasses their holistic wellbeing-- and that of course includes plenty of recalibration and restoration during such a major lifestyle transformation. My hands-on support is an intersection of evidence-based practices with individualized approaches to care. I inform families of ALL of their options before, during, and after pregnancy — advocating for and supporting them in WHATEVER decisions they feel suit them best! I currently support families choosing home birth, birth center or hospital. I am proudly born and raised in South Central Los Angeles and my journey has been inspired by the stories of beautiful Black families in my community, both tragic and revolutionary! Alongside having a background in spiritual and shamanic facilitation , I also have 1+ years of experience with child care/live-in full time nannying, light tutoring, family centered wellness. In my personal time I love to create art through various mediums of expression (painting, crochet, herbal medicine making), create short films documenting my journey of evolution, and uplift the vibration of the collective around me by sharing wisdom based upon my personal experiences as a 26 year old! I intend to give women and families a safe space to express and embody their truths-- no matter how raw or unconventional.

My name is Darby and I work primarily as an Overnight Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula. As a Newborn Care Specialist I support you in your first 12-20 weeks home with a new baby with 30 to 60 hours a week of overnight or daytime care. I will get you set off on the right foot when it comes to having a healthy sleep schedule; working to get your little one (or ones!) sleeping through the night as it becomes age appropriate. I will support their eating needs to ensure their intake supports age appropriate growth and successful sleep, whether that is through breast feeding, formula feeding, bottle feeding or some combination of those options. And most importantly I will be able to keep a close eye on your newest and tiniest family member to make sure their health, development, and habits are all trending in the right direction. Overall my objective is to get a sense for your goals in the first few months to help educate, support, and assess the baby’s and family’s needs. As a postpartum doula my work will look very similar but will have the parent take the lead more. I will be there as your shadow to support with healthy healing for mom and baby. I can offer education, nurturing, assessments of postpartum recovery and referrals to other folks who would help you be successful during this unique time in life.
