Hi everyone!! I’m Micaela! I have been practicing as a postpartum doula for almost 2 years and I’ve been a certified postpartum doula for almost a year! I am a single momma to my 3 year old son named Tobias! If I’m not chasing my wild child around, you’ll find me cuddled up on the couch watching some reality tv, maybe reading a good book, or in a coffee shop enjoying an over priced coffee. I also enjoy being outdoors, taking my son anywhere that will get all of his energy out, or hanging out with some like minded friends who are apart of my village as much as I’m apart of theirs! I had my son as a single, young, 18 year old woman. I was incredibly lost and didn’t know what I was doing(even though I had taken care of countless babies) I didn’t know how to handle it on my own. Megan Taylor was my doula and that was my first look into what support looks like during childbirth and even after!! I had already known I loved children and working with babies( I have been doing it since I was 13) but what I didn’t know was how much I enjoyed serving families and mamas who are stuck and exhausted just like I once was. My calling became clear to me once I began my relationship with Christ! His calling on my life and doing his good work is why I decided to become certified, so I could continue living out my passion and serve so many other women just like I was once served!

My name is Sophie Perkins and I grew up in Kerrville, TX. I have been practicing as a doula since 2020, and I have fallen in love with this work. I have no children of my own, but my wonderful girlfriend and I have plans to expand our family. While I hope to be able to carry a child, we are very excited about the prospect of adopting or fostering children! My hobbies include spending time with my partner and pets, renovating our home, and reading. In 2016, a friend of mine got pregnant and hired a doula. Hearing her birth story was such a privilege and an eye opening experience! As the months passed, she shared with me honestly what it was like being a new mom–the sleep deprivation, confusion, visceral joy and love of having a child. I felt so honored that she would trust me, and I was inspired to find my place beside families as they welcome new children. I looked into doula work and was hooked immediately. After I was trained, I knew with certainty that I had found my passion.

Saron is a mom of 3 who has experience with birth in and out of the hospital. A birth and postpartum doula who also teaches childbirth ed, and babywearing classes. In her free time she loves cooking and playing games with her children and she’s a fan of tattoos and Harry Potter 😊

I was inspired to pursue birth work after becoming a parent and experiencing how powerful and transformative the birthing process is. I also do this work because it brings so much joy and connection. I believe that supporting families during such a vulnerable and sacred passage in their lives, providing access to care, educating and overall empowering birthing people to trust their bodies and intuition is truly fundamental for healthy maternal/ birthing outcomes. I am the proud mama of a magical 3 year old. In my free time, I enjoy the outdoors, hiking and watching the wild dance of our trees. I love eating and getting lost in a good book. I was born in Guatemala and moved to the states when I was 7 years old. Spanish is my first language. I got a Bachelors in Marketing at Missouri State University and moved to Austin shortly thereafter. I have been married for 6 years to a man who makes me laugh. Hi! I'm Lacey Dowlearn! I am a Birth Boot Camp certified Childbirth Educator and Certified Birth Doula serving Round Rock families. My journey in birth work began in 2007 with the first pregancy in my group of friends. She had mentioned wanting a midwife and I started researching. I had caught the birth bug and was hooked! The idea of women helping women made my heart happy. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to be an apprentice midwife at several freestanding birth centers; labor support for homebirth, birth center and hospital clients in Round Rock and surrounding areas and have recently certified as a CBE and Doula with Birth Boot Camp. I've been married to my partner, Danny, since April 2008. He has supported me through this journey and is a great partner. I am a mom to two beautiful little girls, Annie and Jane. Both of my births took place in my home accompanied by a midwife, my very first midwifery preceptor. I breastfed both of my babies for 2 years, tandem for 6 months. That was such a wonderful and bonding experience. I want to provide the best care to each mother who trusts me with her birth experience, whether that be in hospital or at home. I believe that having a positive birth experience is the right of every woman. I will strive to help each mother and baby have a special delivery.

My name is Meghan Boudreau - Doula and Placenta Encapsulation specialist with River Wild. I am so honored to be a part of this amazing community and am looking forward to serving you! ​ I live in Leander, TX with my amazing husband Colten, and our three wildly, wonderful children. On any given day, you will find our home full of giggles, singing, dance parties, coffee aromas, and home cooked meals - just the way we like it. If you ask my children what I do, they will tell you I “help mamas get the babies out”. Bless. ​ I was submerged into the birth world at a very young age, witnessing home births and having a deep relationship with our family midwife. Labor, placentas, and babies were very normalized topics in our house. I had the honor of witnessing and assisting at my own mother's home births, and thus, my passion and desire to serve expecting mamas was born! ​ I believe birth should always be navigated with women at the helm. I believe every woman has the freedom and maternal instinct to move, dance, laugh, cry, or roar as she finds her own unique path through labor. My job as a doula is to hold safe space for her to do just that. To come alongside each family with full acceptance, compassion, and advocacy so that they feel freedom that is rightfully theirs.

I believe families come in many forms and focus on empowering and uplifting each member with caring hands-on support and evidence-based and culturally aware information and resources. I embrace your journey and support you in finding your voice, strength, and confidence as parents. As a self-proclaimed nerd and avid learner, I have attended additional trainings, seminars, and conferences on perinatal mood & anxiety disorders, trauma informed care, and pregnancy and infant loss and all things newborn care. I also hold an MS Ed in Higher Education.

With a focus on Childbirth Education, Labor Support, Postpartum Care, Newborn Care, and Breastfeeding Counseling, Asia has amassed over 15 years of experience, supporting over 1000 families globally. She is passionate about guiding families through the intricacies of parenthood, offering her expertise to ensure they receive the support they need during this transformative time. In her role as a Newborn Care Specialist, Asia provides essential care for newborns, including sleep conditioning, bathing, feeding, and bottle cleaning, helping families to rest and adjust to their new routines. She is dedicated to adapting her care to meet the unique needs of each family, honoring their preferences and circumstances. Outside of her professional life, Asia is a mother of five and has enriched her caregiving approach with 15 years of homemaking. Her love for travel has deepened her appreciation for diverse cultures and the stories they hold, enriching her ability to connect with families from various backgrounds. Hello! I’m Gabrielle and I am a birth and postpartum doula. I was born and raised in a small town near Los Angeles, California and moved to Texas to open the first few In N Out Burgers in San Antonio. I met my husband and moved back to California to be more close to my family, but missed Texas- so we are back again! I have a husband, 2 kids, dogs, cats, and chickens. We are very active with our local shelter and almost always have a foster animal, or 3. For 2 years we lived in an RV traveling to 12 states, and we would love to see more. I homeschool my children, and in my free time I love to travel, explore nature, listen to music, and catch up on TV. I have a bachelor’s degree and I am currently going to school to become a Registered Nurse. After my second child, I realized how important it is to have a village. I believe if I had a postpartum doula, my fourth trimester would have been completely different. There are so many women that don’t have a good support system, even though everyone deserves one. Being able to help my family members and friends who were postpartum has been such a rewarding experience; it led me to seek out formal training in doula work so I could make a career out of helping people. I am a planner and love doing research. Even though birth is very unpredictable, I love being able to inform parents of their options, advocate for them, and be the calm in the storm. I have experience in creating birth plans, different positions to help labor progress, postpartum planning, newborn care, and breastfeeding.

Howdy Honeys! I am Amberlee, a postpartum night doula, educator and business owner of Honey Blossom Doula Care LLC. I have obtained much knowledge and experience assisting women and their significant others and in some cases, relatives and friends during postpartum and prenatal planning. I am driven to continue my learning and constantly evolve my techniques and knowledge to create a positive impact in new and repetitive families that I support. As a Newborn Care Specialist, Amanda will initiate healthy sleep patterns, give rest to new parents, support the mother during breastfeeding, and advise on different techniques. She provides support to the parents and helps build confidence in parenthood.
