I’m Whitney, a mother, doula, and the big sister who shows up with steady hands, a soft voice, and deep belief in you. My work is gentle and intentional—holding space, offering guidance, and helping your birth vision unfold with clarity and confidence. I’m here to massage tired feet, melt tension with counter pressure, and bring comfort from my Mary Poppins bag of tools. I support you and your partner as you move through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with intuition, trust, and the reminder that you don’t have to walk this path alone. Birth is sacred. Support should feel like sisterhood.

Working with Whitney as our doula was one of the greatest decisions we made for our birth. She was absolutely incredible! From the very beginning, she jumped into action and had an amazing ability to read the room and know exactly what was needed all while maintaining a calm presence. One of our biggest hopes in hiring a doula was for my husband to feed confident and supported during labor, and Whitney exceeded every expectation. During our pre-labor visits, she walked us through our birth plan, answered all of our questions, and taught us strategies and techniques for pain management. Throughout the weeks leading up to birth, she stayed in close contact, checking in over text and offering reassurance whenever we needed it. When I was induced, Whitney was the first one at the hospital. My labor involved more interventions than I had hoped for, and she helped me understand each one, talk through my options, and know what questions to ask the midwives. Through every contraction, she was right there providing counter pressure and steady emotional support. Even though my birth took unexpected turns and didn’t follow my original plan, Whitney helped make it a magical, empowering and truly beautiful experience. I would recommend her to absolutely any and everyone. Whitney is a gift, and we are so grateful she was a part of our story.

I’m a childbirth doula and registered nurse with an innate desire to support other women in the most beautiful and loving way possible. I have a medical background with a holistic mindset and desire that every woman have a nurturing and fulfilling birth and postpartum experience. I believe this is the most amazing work we can do as women….supporting others and having babies!

Recent review

Alyssa was the best birthing partner/assistant I could've hoped for. It was my first birth, and it was long (spanned over 3 days) and HARD. She was with me through the whole thing, and even came to some of my doctor's appointments with me. She taught my husband how to support me and they created the best team together. Alyssa used different modalities to help me feel comfortable. I especially liked the tens unit, counter pressure, and massage. I couldn't have survived as long as I did without those. Alyssa came weeks before my birthing time to help with any questions or concerns I had so that I felt prepared. I also felt more confident having her at the hospital because she is a nurse and knows how to advocate for her clients. And let me just throw this out there because I believe in honest reviews. Alyssa was affordable because she believes every woman should have the support they need. She went above and beyond what I ever expected. There are expensive doulas out there... a bigger price tag does not always mean quality. You will not regret having Alyssa as your doula.

Meredith is a certified birth doula, postpartum doula, certified women’s hormone specialist, cycle + fertility coach, menstruation educator, and mother to three amazing kids, ages 7, 5 and 3. She loves everything about the menstrual cycle–hormones, menstruation, fertility, birth, postpartum, and menopause. She loves teaching women (and families) how to use their cycle to balance their lives (and their hormones) and accomplish their goals for growing their family, or not. But Birth has a special place in Meredith’s heart. She came to birth work on a Thursday afternoon driving home from her Human Resources job. She was complaining about her job to her sister and her sister’s response was, “you should go be a Doula”. What’s a Doula? After her sister explained what a Doula does, a voice inside of her said, “I was born to do that”. She was in Doula training the next month and she has never looked back. She loves being with families and witnessing their growth and transformation as they move through the birth and postpartum process. Meredith excels at supporting families through natural/unmedicated birth both in and out of the hospital, and a lot of her clients have great results from her support in delaying medication so that it supports their labor rather than hinders it. Meredith is passionate about families knowing their options, preparing well, and tapping into the spiritual nature of the birth process to create an empowering experience. Additionally, she excels at assisting families to set up healthy rhythms for maximized nighttime sleep, feeding and bonding postpartum.

Meredith is an amazing doula! She assisted with our birth and my husband and I felt that we would have been lost without her. She maintained boundaries/wishes, was super knowledgeable and provided such a calming presence and emotional support! She had a great sense of humor and really added positivity to our birth experience.

Pregnancy, birth, and babies...I love it all! I see the birth process as a huge opportunity for growth and healing. This is an opportunity for the birthing person to communicate with their body and find their own intuitive & unique way of birthing. This is not just a mother experience but a parent experience, I love getting the partners involved. I am also a massage therapists and birth photographer. Massage during labor can be so helpful and amazing and I love capturing the sweet moments between a couple and meeting your baby! One of my more recent educational experiences is Cranial Sacral Therapy for Infants. I love working with the babies!

Let me start by saying that I NEVER leave reviews unless I was really moved by something. Joleen is such an incredible doula, words can't express enough how much support she provided during my birth experience. She actually cares about her clients and the outcome they desire. I highly recommend having a doula who is also a massage therapist-- a damn good one at that-- I had extreme back labor and needed counter pressure every single contraction. She was with me for 9 or 10 hours and never gave up! She had me move into countless different positions to get my baby to move down and out, and I never felt like we ran out of things to try. My husband was skeptical of hiring a doula at first, but was so thankful that we had her help and that it wasn't all on him after it was all said and done. 😉 I attribute my going natural 100% on the team of people I had with me that day; I would have caved and got an epidural if it was just me and the hubby. My midwife was even complimenting her on how much she was doing to help me! Joleen's gentle guidance was everything. I highly recommend her to anyone who is going to give birth, but especially those who want to have a natural birth!! Having that extra support could really make or break your experience. ❤

Hello! I am a Certified Birth Doula serving families in Salt Lake and Utah counties. I am passionate about helping moms and their partners have the AMAZING birth experiences they deserve. I have always thought that pregnancy and birth are the most incredible things in the world. While battling infertility the last few years, I found myself feeling a lack of purpose in my life. This led me to birth work and becoming a birth doula. From the fascinating training to the first birth I attended, I knew this was the purpose I was looking for. I became a Birth Boot Camp Certified Birth Doula in January 2024. I passionately believe that every mom can and deserves to have a positive birth experience, whatever that looks like to her. I look forward to helping you achieve that!

My path to become a doula began with my first powerful and transformative experience giving birth. I left the hospital in awe of my innate strength and what my body could do. The more I talked with others, the more I realized my empowering birth was not the norm. I am a doula because I have a deep passion for helping others feel safe, seen, and supported in their journey through birth so they can discover their strength and have a positive experience. I believe the way we are treated during pregnancy and birth matters immensely and everyone deserves support. I am here to be a guide through your unique birth journey, witness your strength, encourage you to listen to your intuition, and help inform about your options, every step of the way. Before I gave birth to my four sweet babies, I earned a bachelor’s degree in human development. I am a DONA trained doula and advanced VBAC Link certified. I am an avid reader and love to learn about all things pregnancy, birth, women’s health, and natural living. I enjoy hiking, yoga, traveling, collecting houseplants, deep one-on-one conversations, and playing games with my family. I am excited to meet you and hear part of your story!

Hi there! I am a DONA trained birth doula and have also been working to help people through injuries and chronic pain as a professional massage therapist for over 12 years now. I gained a passion for birth while making birth plans and creating roles for my own birth team during the birthing chapter of my life with my four cherubs. I was able to birth in various settings. I am all about doing things your way. I believe a woman should strive to have the birth experience she desires. I believe in a well thought out birth plan and in a unified birth team. Though things don't always go just as planned, having one is very empowering. I also have really appreciated the births I have been in where the partner is a strong presence during the birth. The power of a unified couple is not to be diminished. If you choose me to assist your birth, I will be there to help educate, empower, advocate and help you and your partner have an unforgettable bonding experience with each other and your baby. Whether you have a desire to birth at home, at a birth center, in a hospital--with an epidural or hoping to go med free, I will support you in your goals, we will do it "your way". I am a grateful wife and mother of seven children who helped introduce me to the world of giving birth. I have born them all naturally, some in the hospital and later in the homebirth setting. I have been a Nurse for over 40 years and have worked in the hospital in Labor & Delivery, Newborn Nursery and Postpartum care. I have also followed 'out-of-hospital' midwives since I was 25 years old. Recently I became a Certified Professional Midwife who specializes in out-of-hospital (OOH) birthing. We opened My Family Birth Center in Ogden, Utah to give women the opportunity to birth in their own way. We are the largest Birth Center in Utah and Nationally Accredited with the Commission of Accrediting Birth Centers (CABC). We are within 3 blocks of a Ogden Regional Medical Center. We've been open for 4 1/2 years and have helped over 250 couples. I believe in natural birth and know that it has helped many women to experience a quiet, normal, positive birth experience. In my spare time I enjoy bike riding, snowboarding and being with family.
