My name is Felicia Williams, and I am the founder of Genny Elizabeth Doula Services. I am a proud mother of six daughters, and my journey through motherhood — especially my own postpartum experiences — is the driving force behind the care I provide to families. During my fourth trimester, I was surrounded by the love and support of my family — my village. That support allowed me the space to rest, heal, and step into motherhood with confidence. However, through my journey, I became deeply aware that not every mother has access to that kind of care. Many women enter postpartum life exhausted, overwhelmed, and without consistent support.

What sets me apart from many other doulas in the area is not only the amount of births I’ve attended, but my philosophy and core beliefs. I serve primarily home births, but for the right client will attend a hospital birth or help them labor at home as long as possible. My clients are fierce, often yearning for redemption. Who know in their soul they hold the ability to birth their baby without unnecessary interventions, without letting scare tactics or manipulation effect their journey. Clients who demand informed consent and truly weigh risks/vs benefits, alternative options, etc. The rebels. Those are my people.

Over time, my education and family ended up in Florida. I came to Tallahassee and graduated twice from Florida A&M University, most recently with my Master of Public Health. My field of study and passion is Maternal and Infant Health. In 2022, I took a leap of faith and completed the Doula Workshop Training from Capital City Doula.
