That the process of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are times of transformation where women deserve to be held and honored. That the doulas purpose is to be with women as they embrace such a meaningful transition and have the autonomous birth they desire. Hi! I'm Ella. I am a mother to one beautiful daughter born in 2022. I also have a dog who is an English pointer lab mix that is full of energy and loves meeting new people. I live in Lakeville and am serving around the Twin Cities area. My interest in being a doula started when I realized I was really fascinated with birth after having my daughter. I also love supporting those around me and supporting expecting moms seemed to be the best way to support those in my community. My personal experience with pregnancy and birth were both challenging and empowering. To hear that story you would hear about personal transformation, courage, fear, and an immense amount of joy. As a doula I give expecting moms guidance and physical support through labor and birth to help them feel empowered and confident. With my calm and patient approach I create a nurturing space where you can explore your emotions and preferences freely.

My name is Marika Brown, and I am a Jesus-loving Christian mom of 7 living children and 4 babies in Heaven. I am a DONA-trained birth doula. My background includes a B.A. in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Evangel University. I have been homeschooling my children for 13 years and recently graduated my oldest child, while my baby is approaching his second birthday. My journey to become a doula had been years in the making, starting with the birth of my own first child and instantly wanting to learn as much as I could about pregnancy and birth. I have always loved listening to other moms' stories about their births and babies. With my own back-to-back pregnancies and newborns, the time had not been right to pursue professional training to be a doula, but I knew it was something I wanted to do "someday." As a loss mama and high-risk patient myself, I have a special interest in supporting moms during a pregnancy after loss, or pregnancy complications. I completed DONA birth doula training in June 2025. I love to support moms with any type of birth-epidural, natural, high-risk, C-section, induction, spontaneous, VBAC. Every pregnancy and birth are different and all deserve support, acceptance, and no judgement. I would love to come alongside you and help support you in whatever birth you desire!

For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated by pregnancy and birth and I took many opportunities to explore this interest further during my time as a student at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University. I currently serve as a Public Health Project Coordinator for Scott County, working to promote healthy families. I truly believe that the start to every healthy family is birth, and every family deserves a beautiful and empowering experience, whatever that looks like to them. My goal is to best prepare you through your pregnancy so you have the best chance of having your ideal birth. Hello! I am a Christian Birth Doula in central MN. I live on a homestead with my family. I have attended around 30 births in homes, birth centers, and hospitals. I use Spinning Babies, counterpressure, and aromatherapy as a few pain-relief methods. I have a passion for natural birth but I love to support women in exactly the type of birth they are looking for. Whether it is natural, pain free, or a scheduled c-section, I am always there for support.
