I first decided to become a Doula after hearing countless stories of doctors pressuring unnecessary interventions, making what should be the most special day of your life, into a traumatic experience. I was struck by how susceptible new parents can be to misinformation, and my goal as a doula is to eliminate that uncertainty and foster a loving and safe birthing environment for mother and child. Of course the most important thing is that mama and baby are healthy, but that’s not the only important thing. I believe that as a mother your instinct is just as strong as that fetal ejection reflex 💪🏽 and my job is to help you listen to it. I've been a birth doula for 35 years (I started young!) and I am also a childbirth educator. I got into doula work to advocate so that you can have the best birth possible. I have always said.....this is your baby, your body and your birth and I'm there to support you in however and wherever you want to birth. I am a mother of seven children, and I am very passionate about providing new mothers and their families the physical and emotional support they deserve while adjusting to life with a new baby(or babies!).
