I first decided to become a Doula after hearing countless stories of doctors pressuring unnecessary interventions, making what should be the most special day of your life, into a traumatic experience. I was struck by how susceptible new parents can be to misinformation, and my goal as a doula is to eliminate that uncertainty and foster a loving and safe birthing environment for mother and child. Of course the most important thing is that mama and baby are healthy, but that’s not the only important thing. I believe that as a mother your instinct is just as strong as that fetal ejection reflex 💪🏽 and my job is to help you listen to it. At a Birthing Bees, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive support services, through an evidence-based approach for pregnant women throughout San Diego County. My goal is to help woman feel informed, supported, and empowered, before, during and after childbirth.

I am a postpartum doula, born and raised in San Diego, a lactation educator, and author of the book I’ll Remember You”-available on Etsy.com. I am a mother of seven children, and I am very passionate about providing new mothers and their families the physical and emotional support they deserve while adjusting to life with a new baby(or babies!). I love being able to play a role in making that transition easier.
