Hello! I’m Margot, a certified postpartum doula with nearly 15 years of experience in childcare. I bring over 8 years of professional nanny and infant care experience to my role, having cared for children from newborns to 11 years old in both formal and informal settings. I hold a degree in Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy and Child Development, which has guided me towards my current role as a postpartum doula. I received my certification from BADT in 2023 and have maintained a CPR/First Aid certification for over a decade. My background equips me to support families through various developmental stages, including those with disabilities, and I am committed to offering personalized care and respite during the postpartum period. My goal is to ease the transition for families, ensuring they receive the support and understanding they need.

Margot is a gifted caregiver. The joy she gets from being around children and the love she shows them is so real. I would wholeheartedly recommend her (and have) to my closest friends and family. She is competent, trustworthy, highly attuned to children, sensitive, funny, special. My children adore her and so do I.

As a compassionate and experienced maternal health nurse, I bring a strong foundation of clinical knowledge along with a nurturing, intuitive approach that makes me a natural fit for postpartum doula work. I’ve spent years supporting new mothers and families through the delicate transition of the fourth trimester, offering not just medical insight but emotional reassurance, practical education, and culturally sensitive care. My background includes virtual and in home visits, helping families feel safe, seen, and empowered from the comfort of their own space. My philosophy is rooted in a holistic view of healing by honoring the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the mother and family. I believe in creating a calm, supportive environment where new parents can rest, bond, and recover while receiving personalized guidance on infant care, feeding, and postpartum wellness. We just had our first baby. It turned out to be a great choice to have Renee as our doula. We had two fruitful prenatal sessions to prepare a thorough birth plan and to practice various techniques for coping with contractions and pushing effectively. She was also very helpful through my whole laboring process. With her help, I managed to make sensible decisions about medical interventions and had a memorable laboring experience without regret.

Hello there! My name is Cynthia Alvarado and I identify as she/her. I'm happily married to a wonderful man, and we have a beautiful 12-year-old boy, who is currently in middle school. My journey in Baby Night Care began in 2011 when a dear friend of mine, who is a Doula, recommended that I take a Doula training course. At that time, I had no idea what a doula was, but I was fascinated when she explained it to me. I loved babies and was excited to work with them and nurture families in their postpartum journey. When I took my doula training, I was eighteen and pregnant with my son Julian Alvarado! Julian was my first experience with newborns, and it was an incredible experience for me. As I was young and had no work experience, I started as a part-time daytime nanny. Later on, I began doing night nanny work while still working daytime. I slowly started building my experience and resume, and eventually started working full-time night-time only as a postpartum doula. Since then, I have continued my education in newborn and postpartum care, and I've become a Certified Doula, a Certified Newborn Specialist, a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, and I've earned a degree in Child Development, specializing in infant care. I have been working with families for over ten years now, and I absolutely love it. I have combined all my careers to provide personalized care that fulfills each family's unique needs. I offer emotional and lactation support, education, resources, empowerment, and nurturing for the whole family, as well as baby care services. If you need any help or support, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'm here to help!

JD was everything we could want in a doula and more than we knew to ask for. They weren't just incredibly supportive and helpful during the labor and delivery, but they were curious about us and our relationship and family and how that might influence what we would need or want when the time came. the time came unexpectedly and suddenly and JD was still there through the whole thing. My partner is nonbinary and JD was there with they/them reminders when we were exhausted, in addition to advocating for us with hospital staff, anticipating needs and bringing extra love and comfort to our efforts.

I am so grateful to Donna for helping me promptly find two wonderful doulas who've assisted my family 7 nights a week. I reached out to Donna when I was pregnant with my second son. I was already in my second trimester and was extremely anxious to find a highly professional, educated, and knowledgable night doula that could help us for several months. I was having a lot of trouble finding the right match. Donna paired me with Lanny and Kimberly who were both caring, atten-tive, loving, and very experienced. Most importantly, they were on time and never missed a day of work. When there was an emergency, Lanny introduced me to her daughter Kimberly who became a backup doula for us. While their time with us has mostly come to an end, I especially consider Kimberly as a part of our family and hope to remain in touch. She was so loving to our older son as well, and we'd welcome her back to assist us in a variety of ways for a long time to come! If you're looking for a wonderful Doula Kimberly is a great choice.

Matrescence::: Embracing your journey of Motherhood I guide women through the unknown and chaotic journey, called birth. I am a compassionate guide offering soothing wisdom and expert support. My specialty is being a safe space for mothers to heal from past birth trauma. I help mothers reclaim their power and embody confidence for the next birth. ensuring parents feel seen, supported and ready to thrive. After my first born, I immediately knew that my birth experience was something amazing, transformational and empowering. I just didnt have the words, but after my first doula training I could better put it in a much richer context and support other mothers, pre-conception through postpartum. Over the next years I shared my story and supported mothers in my community as a doula. Eventually working as a full time postpartum doula, I realized a major barrier was during the breastfeediing journey. I followed my passion in nurturing mothers into their new normal, with confidence, comfort and compassion while training to become a lactation lactation consultant. I am now an expert wombkeeper- Waterbirth & Postpartum Doula, Afterbirth Restorative Therapist, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) just to name a few. I find much pleasure and joy in nurturing new families as they discover, connect and create their family culture around the couplet. The cornerstone of my practice honors each mother’s unique journey of matrescence, the experience of becoming a mother. My resassuring, soothing wisdom and expert skills cultivate a visceral connection and safe space for new parents. I have traveled, trained and supported mothers internationally through pregnancy, labor/birth and breastfeeding. My signature, Afterbith Restorative Therapy Methods, support the new mother with restorative practices like belly binding, V-Steam, closing of the bones, as a time/space to reflect on their birth experiences. The Afterbirth Restorative Therapy Method not only provides a new mother with a greater sense of well-being; the new mother is better to care for herself and her new baby.

Exceptional Support Throughout Our Birthing Journey! I can’t express enough how grateful my partner and I are for having Raquel as our Birth Doula. From the moment we met, she radiated warmth and confidence. Her expertise and unwavering support truly made all the difference in our birthing experience. Her calming presence during labor was exactly what we needed. Raquel provided continuous encouragement and guided us through various comfort measures. She ensured that our birth plan was respected and advocated for our choices, which was incredibly reassuring. Moreover, her knowledge of childbirth was evident at every step. Raquel answered our questions, offered valuable insights, and created a peaceful atmosphere in the delivery room. She was not just a doula but also a source of strength for both of us. Thanks to Raquel, we welcomed our little one into the world feeling empowered and supported. I wholeheartedly recommend her services to any expectant parents looking for an exceptional Birth Doula.
