My philosophy is that birth is a normal and natural process. Women have an innate ability to birth their babies. Our bodies and our babies are perfectly designed for the journey. Every woman and birth deserves to be respected and held in a caring environment. Empowering yourself with education and support for birth helps build confidence in your ability to give birth. Education allows you to be an active participant on your journey into motherhood. It helps lead to higher rates of satisfaction of your birthing experience and a reduction in fear and anxiety. It is also associated with higher rates of vaginal birth.

My name is Katie Crow and I have been supporting pregnant women in our community for the past five years. I started out as an advocate helping pregnant women in crisis get the resources they need, and then moved into birthwork. My passion for women drives me forward everyday Having six births with varying stories myself, I meet families where they are at and help their vision come to pass. I support birth at home, in the hospital both natural and medicated believing that only mom knows which choices are right for her body and baby.

I am a DONA trained birth and postpartum doula, as well as a BSW/MSW level social worker! I believe that it's important to take a holistic approach to birth and parenthood. These experiences are sacred and everyone deserves to have the support they need. The correlation of mental health and birth/postpartum is huge.
