I am a queer parent to two kiddos, certified full spectrum doula, and student midwife through the National College of Midwifery. I’m an Austin native and my family and I live in South Austin with our small zoo of pets. My call to birth work was awakened through my own birthing experience which broke me open and sparked transformation in me. My passion and connection to this work deepened through the process of navigating fertility treatments, conception with donor sperm, logistical challenges of second parent adoption, and the unique emotions of being a non-gestational parent to our daughter and sitting in the role of partner to the pregnant/birthing parent. I’m passionate about supporting all of the unique flavors people and families come in, especially LGBTQIA+ families like my own.

I am Drea Kelly, the founder of River Wild Doula Services, and I am so happy you're here! I'd love to share a bit of my story in hopes of someday hearing some of yours. ​ It has been my joy and privilege to partner with families as a doula for the past 18 years, serving them as they make some of the biggest transitions in life. I have always known I was called to this work... to hold space in the sacred, in-between places where we are transformed by the rivers running wild through us. It is such an honor to be invited onto this holy ground. ​ I believe parents have innate wisdom and intuition that can and should be trusted as they navigate the myriad of decisions in the childbearing year and beyond. As your doula I am here to be your guide and coach through those decisions, while providing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual support you need along the way. I started River Wild with the prayer that families would be able to access the kind of care that empowered them to birth their way and raise their families with confidence. ​ I live in Cedar Park, Texas with my incredible husband who stays home with our three delicious kiddos full-time. Family hikes, cozy evenings and a good card game are just a few of our favorite things. I am currently studying to become a midwife and I am thrilled to bring this elevated level of knowledge and care to my doula families as I train in this deeper wisdom of "being with woman". ​ I can't wait to chat and hear your story!

I was inspired to pursue birth work after becoming a parent and experiencing how powerful and transformative the birthing process is. I also do this work because it brings so much joy and connection. I believe that supporting families during such a vulnerable and sacred passage in their lives, providing access to care, educating and overall empowering birthing people to trust their bodies and intuition is truly fundamental for healthy maternal/ birthing outcomes. I am the proud mama of a magical 3 year old. In my free time, I enjoy the outdoors, hiking and watching the wild dance of our trees. I love eating and getting lost in a good book. I was born in Guatemala and moved to the states when I was 7 years old. Spanish is my first language. I got a Bachelors in Marketing at Missouri State University and moved to Austin shortly thereafter. I have been married for 6 years to a man who makes me laugh. Hi! I'm Lacey Dowlearn! I am a Birth Boot Camp certified Childbirth Educator and Certified Birth Doula serving Round Rock families. My journey in birth work began in 2007 with the first pregancy in my group of friends. She had mentioned wanting a midwife and I started researching. I had caught the birth bug and was hooked! The idea of women helping women made my heart happy. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to be an apprentice midwife at several freestanding birth centers; labor support for homebirth, birth center and hospital clients in Round Rock and surrounding areas and have recently certified as a CBE and Doula with Birth Boot Camp. I've been married to my partner, Danny, since April 2008. He has supported me through this journey and is a great partner. I am a mom to two beautiful little girls, Annie and Jane. Both of my births took place in my home accompanied by a midwife, my very first midwifery preceptor. I breastfed both of my babies for 2 years, tandem for 6 months. That was such a wonderful and bonding experience. I want to provide the best care to each mother who trusts me with her birth experience, whether that be in hospital or at home. I believe that having a positive birth experience is the right of every woman. I will strive to help each mother and baby have a special delivery.

Bless. ​ I was submerged into the birth world at a very young age, witnessing home births and having a deep relationship with our family midwife. Labor, placentas, and babies were very normalized topics in our house. I had the honor of witnessing and assisting at my own mother's home births, and thus, my passion and desire to serve expecting mamas was born! ​ I believe birth should always be navigated with women at the helm. I started being a doula during my own pregnancy with my son and have loved it since day one! I am trained in birth, postpartum, bereavement, and lactation. I have experience with high risk pregnancies as well. I strive to create a calming, connected, and enjoyable process for all my birthing people and families alike. Hey there! I’m Ana, a Salado, TX-based doula, mama, and self-proclaimed birth nerd. My journey into birth work actually started before I ever got pregnant when I began learning about natural family planning and realized just how much we, as women, aren’t taught about our own bodies. We’re often told to put that part of ourselves on hold — to not think about fertility, birth, or motherhood until “later.” But in doing that, we lose touch with something so deeply feminine and powerful. My journey to motherhood was life-changing in the best way and it opened my eyes to how little support and information is actually offered to pregnant and postpartum women. I found myself thinking, Why didn’t anyone tell me this? Is this normal? Am I doing this right?? That’s when I knew — I wanted to be that support for other women. The one who says, “Yes, this is normal,” or “Here’s what your options are,” or “You’ve got this. I’m a doula, but I’m also a teacher at heart — I love sharing knowledge that helps women feel confident, calm, and connected to their bodies.
