I am a Birth/ Postpartum Doula and Birth Photographer located in New Bedford, Ma. I've also been a Medical Interpreter for the past 20+ years. I love all things birth with a peaceful and natural approach. I use positive affirmations, information and emotional support. Being a Photographer has also helped me capture those unforgettable moments that go by too fast. When I'm not at a Birth you will find me making memories with my family and drinking lots and lots of coffee! I love coffee! I am also blessed to be a mother of 3 beautiful children, and have been married for 28 years.

Hi! I am a certified birth doula, postpartum doula, certified VBAC specialist, pediatric physical therapist, babywearing specialist, cloth diaper educator, and mom of two. I combine my passion for all things pregnancy, birth, and babies with evidence-based knowledge and unbiased, non-judgmental support to make my clients feel prepared and supported in their journey through birth and parenthood. I love building meaningful relationships with my clients and customizing my support to precisely fit what the client needs. I utilize my knowledge of the physiological process of birth, and experience as a physical therapist to help my clients find comfort and relaxation through various comfort measures such as massage, positioning, affirmations, and guided breathing. I am an RN/Doula working 35 years in Maternal Child Health. My philosophy is that everyone deserves individualized support, and access to the information they need, to make the right decisions for their bodies and family. As an indigenous person working as a lactation counselor, childbirth educator, birth doula and postpartum doula I offer unique opportunities to integrate traditional practices with contemporary support. In this experience, the doula role extends beyond the physical recovery and infant care; it requires cultural humility , respect for ancestral knowledge and recognition of the community’s values. This experience highlights that postpartum care is not one-size-fits-all model. The doula’s presence becomes a bridge between worlds-supporting modern postpartum practices while safeguarding cultural continuity. In conclusion, working with an indigenous doula ;has given me the responsibility to practice the cultural humility of my heritage, honor my traditional knowledge and provide holistic care. Through my work as a mental health therapist, I came to realize how precious birth and postpartum are in anchoring attachment. So here I am!
