I was also wildly uninformed about the rates of maternal morbidity amongst black women. These coupled ideas made me feel really uneasy about my birthing experience. I wanted to make a difference after my experience and becoming a doula turned out to be my life's passion. I pride myself on being open-minded, spiritual, and will provide you with a calm reassuring presence during your pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum.
