I had a wonderful experience with HumbleWombs. She made me feel so relaxed during the mist of my labor. She advocated for me and made sure it was about what was best for me during my pregnancy and labor. She spent lots of time with me after my labor and supported me through breast feeding. I couldn’t have asked for a better DOULA. Nas❤️

Nikole went above and beyond to assist my family in preparing for the birth of our baby. Nikole set up education FaceTimes with my husband overseas, and provided plenty of material for us to reference. She provided comfort to me and helped talk me through all of my options in the labor process so I was making the most informed decision. I was supported before, during, and after birth.

LaDysha Harrell

Hello, my name is LaDysha, pronounced (La-Day-Shu). I am a highly motivated and certified birth doula here in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I'm significantly close to Fort Liberty (formerly known as Fort Bragg). Outside of birthing my own children, I have always known I would be a part of helping bring new life into the world in some fashion. I initially set out to study to be an OB/GYN, but my path led me here, and so far, this territory feels more like home to me. I feel I have more space to support, encourage, and empower my clients as a birth doula. My practice encompasses natural and pure vibrations, from language to listening and following the body's natural instincts. Along with my knowledge of positions during labor, as a certified prenatal yoga instructor, I will also be able to help you enhance your understanding of your body and how to prepare it for childbirth. I look forward to the opportunity to interview with you and be a part of such a precious time in your life.

Hi my name is Jerilyn Free but I go by “Jeri”. I am from the Triad are and am definitely a unicorn in this field. I am an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) and a Certified Birth Doula. I have been working as a Birth Doula since 2016. I have assisted in vaginal births, c-sections, vbacs, water births, virtual doula work, and have supported families that have dealt with a loss. My experience is wide! Currently, I work in a hospital as a Lactation Consultant. My special touch is assisting families in the early days of learning your baby. Working with teens/young adults. These times are very important. Many times birthing parents may not get that special attention. So as a doula and an LC, I am can be there at the birth and can assisting you with your feeding needs. I am one of the Community Directors for Mahogany Milk as well as the Coordinator and Lead for Mahogany Milk Drops at the YWCA in Greensboro. I am a mother of 3 girls, each who I breastfed. I find myself unique because my Bachelor’s Degree is in Animal Science and a Master’s in Agriculture Education. I would love to be part of your birth story.

I highly recommend any expecting or new parent to connect with Jeri. She truly was a game changer in my delivery of my second daughter. I didn’t have a doula with my first child and I have to say, having Jeri by my side this time made my entire birthing experience feel soooo much better! She is very attentive, knowledgeable, and personable. She supported me in meeting my goal of an unmedicated delivery by helping me move through each contraction in a way that help progress the labor process. Jeri also was able to guide my husband and family with how they could best assist me through the delivery as well. She was able to quickly build rapport with both the nursing staff and providers to ensure my wishes were known and upheld. I am SO grateful for Jeri and encourage everyone I know to utilize her services — you will not regret it!

My name is Anya Lawrence. I am a Doula in Training located in Rocky Mount, NC. Different birth practices are becoming more welcome within our community here, I want to be apart of normalizing healthy birth practices as well. My inspiration stems from my own birthing journey and also my hypnobirthing teacher. I am getting my certification with New Beginnings Doula Training online. I would love to help women feel empowered to be knowledgeable about every choice that they are making with their body, labor, and birth. I believe that birth does not have to be scary as reflected on tv, worrisome as reflected by many bad experiences we may hear from others, or deadly as the statistic rates prove. We can work together to change all of these negative aspects.

I highly recommend teaming up with Dawn for your pregnancy journey! As a first time mom, Dawn's offerings helped my partner and I navigate all the newness that comes with pregnancy. Her prenatal yoga classes provided a loving environment to slow down and tune in to the body. It was also a great shared space to meet expecting and new moms. Her childbirth course provided an empowering perspective on the birthing process. As a doula, Dawn's presence, insight, and support before, during, and after labor brought an indispensable sense of comfort and warmth in to welcoming our little girl. If you're curious about adding a support person to your pregnancy experience, Dawn is a great choice! I was also able to attend her Motherhood Circle Intro and Birth Comfort Techniques class. Both were top notch!

“Once in a Blue Moon” is a reference to a rare occurrence. Every birthing experience is unique and rare in its own right, but finding the right doula for that experience can be daunting! Blue Moon Doula Services offers a unique experience that you won’t find anywhere else, one that is more about guidance and service to help your transition into a new phase of life. A blend of both holistic and evidence-based practice care can look different for families with different needs. When we discuss conversations before, during, or after birth, it can feel overwhelming. However, whatever experience you’re looking for, Blue Moon Doula Services will offer a collaborative, cohesive service you can’t find anywhere else: unbiased support that allows you to take the lead however you see fit. Whether this is a first birth or third, you are centered.

Hi! I am Kristin Frohne, a certified birth doula and certified VBAC doula and lactation consultant. I am a wife and a mom to 3 little kids. I decided to get into birth work because after three very different births( c-section, VBAC induction, and VBAC spontaneous labor), I finally got the birth I dreamed of. I want to help moms and partners feel informed and supported through their pregnancy and birth. Birth is beautiful regardless of how any parent chooses or ends up having a baby, I think that it is the most spectacular thing that could ever happen.
