I am a Full Spectrum Birth and Postpartum Doula in Austin, TX trained through Doula Trainings International. I work with families throughout the birth process to create supportive care and systems so you feel empowered and educated throughout the entire birth process, as well as supported and cared for during the postpartum period. I especially enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ families and those who are in different stages of the birth process, including miscarriage and loss. Previously, I entered a software engineering career through working to design technologies for individuals with traumatic brain injuries in hospital settings, but after hearing about several friends and family members' birth and doula experiences, I decided I wanted a more caretaking and embodied role in creating equitable change and creating peaceful, embodied, and inclusive experiences for families. In my free time, I love to make art, chat over a latte, go for a lake swim, and see live music with friends.

I became a birth doula because I am in awe of the strength and wisdom of women. It is an honor to help you tune into the wisdom of your body, and to support your family as they learn how to support you. I help you find your breath when things get big. I remind your partner how to hold you. I help create a quiet, womb-like space—dim lights, soft sounds, warm water, and anything else that helps you feel safe, grounded, and undisturbed. I attend home births, birth centers, and hospital births. Wherever you feel safe is the right place to have your baby. My job is to help regulate the space, so that you can surrender. I offer peace of mind, solid education, and steady presence so you can meet this experience with courage. My care is personalized and client-led. I follow your rhythm. My approach is grounded in the belief that women already have everything they need within them to safely and instinctively bring their babies into the world. Whether this is your first baby or your sixth, your birth matters. Each one is a new journey, a new chance to grow and expand and meet yourself in a whole new way.

Hannah is a fantastic doula! She has so much information to share in the prenatal appointments that made me feel that much more prepared. She was present during my long labor - day and night - and offered so much support to me and my husband during the process. And her helping hand during my postpartum period was much appreciated as well. I'm so glad she was a part of my birth experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, caring, and dutiful doula.

I am so happy that I was able to have Emma as my doula. It was my first pregnancy and I had so many questions. Not only is Emma filled with knowledge on pregnancy, holistic health and remedies but she was the best support person/hype girl. She really made me feel empowered and able to bring my girl into the world. She has all of the tips and tricks to help things go smoothly and held space for me when I really needed it. I hope I am able to have her at any future births. It wouldn’t be the same without her <3

ve Clients, I am writing to express my deep appreciation for the remarkable care and support I received from Cheyenne and Cree during my pregnancy and postpartum journey. As a first-time mom, I was fortunate to have Cheyenne as my homebirth and postpartum doula, and to also benefit from her placenta encapsulation services. Her expertise and holistic approach put me at ease throughout the entire process, and her commitment to educating me was invaluable. Cheyenne provided exceptional prenatal care, offering guidance and addressing my concerns with utmost patience. During labor and delivery, she ensured that I felt supported, while Cree provided emotional support for both my partner and me, capturing breathtaking photos that we will cherish forever. What stood out most was their dedication to making me feel comfortable, their willingness to address all my questions, and their unwavering support in overcoming my childbirth fears. The family-oriented care I received from Cheyenne and Cree made the experience even more special. I am a queer parent to two kiddos, certified full spectrum doula, and student midwife through the National College of Midwifery. I’m an Austin native and my family and I live in South Austin with our small zoo of pets. My call to birth work was awakened through my own birthing experience which broke me open and sparked transformation in me. My passion and connection to this work deepened through the process of navigating fertility treatments, conception with donor sperm, logistical challenges of second parent adoption, and the unique emotions of being a non-gestational parent to our daughter and sitting in the role of partner to the pregnant/birthing parent. I’m passionate about supporting all of the unique flavors people and families come in, especially LGBTQIA+ families like my own.

Ana Smith

Hey there! I’m Ana, a Salado, TX-based doula, mama, and self-proclaimed birth nerd. My journey into birth work actually started before I ever got pregnant when I began learning about natural family planning and realized just how much we, as women, aren’t taught about our own bodies. We’re often told to put that part of ourselves on hold — to not think about fertility, birth, or motherhood until “later.” But in doing that, we lose touch with something so deeply feminine and powerful. My journey to motherhood was life-changing in the best way and it opened my eyes to how little support and information is actually offered to pregnant and postpartum women. I found myself thinking, Why didn’t anyone tell me this? Is this normal? Am I doing this right?? That’s when I knew — I wanted to be that support for other women. The one who says, “Yes, this is normal,” or “Here’s what your options are,” or “You’ve got this. I’m a doula, but I’m also a teacher at heart — I love sharing knowledge that helps women feel confident, calm, and connected to their bodies.

Hey Momma, I’m Shaquana. Welcome, I'm so glad you're here! I truly believe every momma deserves to feel seen, heard, and empowered throughout this incredible journey. As your doula, my hope is to be a reassuring presence, offering the care and encouragement you deserve during this beautiful season of your life. Your vision for your birth matters. I'd love nothing more than to hear about what that looks like and how I can support you in welcoming your bundle of joy!

Recent review

I was considered high-risk and deeply hoped for a natural birth, but things didn’t go as planned and I ended up needing a c-section. Through it all, Shaquana was truly my anchor. From the start, she made me feel seen, heard, and supported. During labor, she offered different comfort measures to help me manage physically and emotionally(which I needed the most) offering everything from breathing techniques to calming touch and positioning that helped me stay grounded. Even when I felt rushed and overlooked by my provider, Shaquana made sure my voice was still in the room. She never pushed, only empowered! Shaquana reminded me that no matter how my baby arrived, I was strong and never alone throughout this process. I truly couldn’t have done it without her, and I’ll always be thankful for her.
