As a recent Sociology graduate with a deep passion for working with children, I am excited to bring my academic background and love for youth into a meaningful career.

I’m Katie Galvin, Postpartum Doula and Certified Functional Diagnostic Nutritional Practitioner. After my own experience with “postpartum anxiety & depression,” (which was really undiagnosed postpartum thyroiditis) I decided to become a functional practitioner to help other moms navigate common postpartum hormonal changes using a holistic approach. Conventional medicine often fails new moms by dismissing their concerns or offering pills as the only solutions to common (but not normal) symptoms like: anxiety, depression, irregular/heavy/painful periods, insomnia, hot flashes, etc. There are better options! I use functional lab testing to identify imbalances in the body and help bring it back into balance through functional nutrition and lifestyle changes so moms can get back to feeling their best!

I currently serve the San Jouquin and Bay Area I love to cook, hang out with family, learn, and hike . I enjoy pretty much anything that involves nature , outdoors also my babies. My mission extends beyond merely attending births; I am dedicated to educating women and families about the wonders of the womb. Through my work as a doula, I aim to dispel fears surrounding childbirth and replace them with a sense of empowerment and positivity. I firmly believe that every woman deserves to approach birth with confidence, fully aware of the incredible strength within her.

My mission is to provide emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, helping women feel empowered and confident in their choices. I believe that every birth experience should be respectful and unique, and I am here to listen, guide, and provide a welcoming and safe environment.
