I am an RN, IBCLC who has had the privilege of taking care of moms and babies in different maternal and neonatal settings for 30+ years. I believe in a gentle and encouraging approach to assist and support breastfeeding families.

I am a doula and a yoga practitioner in Frisco and the Dallas-Forth Worth Metroplex, and I have a Masters of Arts in Physical Activity and Health from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Bavaria, Germany. I speak German and English. I have lived, studied and worked in three different countries and international life is my normal. I like to say that I was born in Canada, I grew up in Germany, and now, I am raising my own family in Frisco, Texas. Mothering With Grace is focused on empowering women to have a positive experience in pregnancy, birth, postpartum and beyond into motherhood. When a woman has agency, feels supported, can get what she needs (without being made to feel like a burden) and she is respected by the people accompanying her from pregnancy through to postpartum and beyond, she is much more likely to have a positive experience.

Inspired by my own reproductive journey, I feel called to do birth work in this phase of my life. I have the most wonderful five year old daughter and being her Mom is absolutely the best part of my life, however my journey to her did not come without its challenges. From struggling with pregnancy loss, to a pregnancy that required me to be on full bed rest for my entire third trimester, and ultimately delivering via c-section. I am well versed in needing supportive around the clock care. And most importantly I count that care as one of my biggest blessings. In my case, my passion for birth work stems from personal experience as a wife and mother of two beautiful souls.
