I am writing to highly recommend Luciana Gerrish as a Newborn Care Specialist. Luciana began working with our family when our son was 1 week old in the Summer of 2023. My husband and I were overwhelmed with caring for our new baby in addition to our 4 year old daughter, and Luciana stepped in and put us at ease immediately. We “clicked” right away, as Luciana was warm and confident. I could tell immediately by the way she picked our son up and spoke to him that she loved her job, which made it easier to go to sleep while she was looking after him. Luciana always arrived each night a few minutes before her shift started at 9 pm, so that we could fill her in on our day and she could answer any questions we had. We settled in to sleep knowing our son was in excellent hands. We trusted her fully and were able to sleep well because of this. In the morning, Luciana would either have the baby asleep for us when we woke up, or, if he was awake, she would be playing with him sweetly. Bottles were sanitized and ready for the day, and she shared a detailed recap of the prior night. Our 4 year old daughter loved seeing Luciana in the morning, and was jealous Luciana was only there for the baby because she was so kind to her! Having Luciana work with your family is like having a personal baby expert available to you, who can help you maximize sleep and feeding routines in a loving way. Getting sleep after a busy day with two kids was a gift, and she made it easy! She was with us for four months, and then our son was sleeping from 6:30 pm-6:00 am (we credit her with this great sleep), so we no longer needed her help. It was bittersweet to no longer see her each night, but we are so grateful for her loving care of our son. While Luciana’s impact on our family can’t possibly be summarized on paper, I hope you will infer how wonderful she is from this letter. Hiring Luciana was the best decision!

Hi there! I'm Chelsea – a wife, stay-at-home parent of two, certified birth and postpartum doula, and babywearing educator based in Connecticut. With over two decades of experience working with children and families, my journey includes a master's degree in education and 11 years of teaching music to students from PreK through grade 12. My path to becoming a doula was inspired by the isolating and challenging nature of the postpartum months. Having navigated this journey myself, I realized the importance of support during this period. I aim to alleviate the isolation many face by offering guidance and understanding. Having been the first in my friend group to experience parenthood, I understand the complexities and uncertainties. My role is to provide a compass, steering you away from the confusing and sometimes overwhelming information available online. Join me in creating a supportive community, where I offer education, solidarity, empowerment, strength, and empathy to ease your transition into parenthood

Hi, I’m Carrie-Lee! I grew up in a house full of chaos and kids. I'm one of nine siblings, with a mom who ran a home daycare for 30+ years and a sister who is also a nanny. So, caregiving isn’t just what I do, it’s pretty much woven into my DNA! Between that and raising my own three kids, supporting families has always felt like second nature. My oldest is up in Maine, working on building his yurt and achieving the off-grid dream. My middle kid is a Junior at Keene State, fully immersed in the world of theater tech, making sure the show always goes on! And my youngest is a vocalist who will be attending Berklee College of Music this fall. Raising them has been the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done—and proof that every kid comes into this world with their own wild, wonderful personality. When I’m not up late with newborns, you’ll probably find me camping, roller skating, or practicing archery—because balance and precision are key in both work and life. Or at least, that’s what I tell myself! My style is laid back and nonjudgmental. I'm easy going and ready to pivot depending on your needs and how they may change. Providing support so you can rest is what makes this professional rewarding for me. Hi, I’m Emily! I’m a Certified Perinatal Doula (CPD) and artist based in Providence, Rhode Island. I’ve been supporting birthing families since 2022, but my path to this work started long before then. Living with endometriosis shaped my understanding of how essential it is to feel seen, heard, and supported in healthcare. When I was first learning how to navigate life with endo, I needed someone who could inform, empower, and walk with me through the unknown. Now, I’m honored to be that person for others as a doula. I’m committed to inclusive, compassionate, and evidence-based support. My approach is rooted in deep listening, genuine connection, and a belief that birth can be a powerful, joyful, and transformative experience. I offer support across four pillars: physical, emotional, informational, and advocacy, so that you and your birth partner feel informed, respected, and confident throughout your journey. I also accept Rhode Island-based insurances including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Neighborhood, United, and Medicaid. I’ll help you explore your options, prepare for the unexpected, and make choices that reflect your values. I work collaboratively with your care team to create an easeful, grounded birth environment so you can focus on birthing your baby, your way.

Emily was my doula through the pregnancy and natural birth of my daughter and I can’t say enough good things about her! Emily has a wonderful energy that makes her a joy to work with, but she is also a fierce advocate who will go to bat for you. She is the perfect combination of the consummate professional and a caring friend. She was with me every step of the way and helped me achieve a beautiful, meaningful, natural birth. And on top of it all, she is a talented photographer and she captured both my pregnancy and my daughter’s birth perfectly. I cannot recommend her enough!
