Recent review

I had the privilege of working with Sasha as my doula during my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period. I cannot express enough gratitude for her exceptional support. From the very beginning, Sasha demonstrated a level of professionalism, compassion, and expertise that truly made a difference in my birthing experience. During my pregnancy, Sasha was a constant source of knowledge and reassurance. She took the time to understand my unique needs and concerns, providing me with evidence-based information and guidance that helped me make informed decisions. Her ability to listen attentively and offer non-judgmental support created a safe space for me to express my fears and anxieties. When it came time for the birth, Sasha's presence was invaluable. Her calm demeanor and unwavering support helped me confidently navigate the intense moments. She provided physical comfort measures, emotional encouragement, and continuous reassurance, ensuring I felt empowered and in control throughout the process. Sasha's expertise in various birthing techniques, such as positioning, proved incredibly helpful in promoting progress. But Sasha's support didn't end with the birth. During the postpartum period, she remained a pillar of strength and guidance. She offered practical assistance with newborn care and emotional well-being. Her genuine care and understanding made transitioning from two to three children smoother and less overwhelming. Overall, Sasha's dedication to her role as a doula is commendable. Her knowledge, professionalism, and unwavering support were instrumental in making my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience positive and empowering. I wholeheartedly recommend Sasha to any expectant mother seeking a compassionate and skilled doula who will go above and beyond to ensure a memorable and fulfilling journey into parenthood.

Welcome to my corner of the internet! I'm Brandy, a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a passion for helping mothers and babies on their breastfeeding journey. My career in nursing began in 2006, where I initially found my calling in the labor and delivery unit. Witnessing the miracle of new life and being a part of that special moment filled me with joy and purpose. However, it was my personal experience with breastfeeding challenges that truly ignited my passion for lactation and breastfeeding support. As a mother myself, I faced hurdles and uncertainties in my breastfeeding journey that led me to dive headfirst into the world of lactation science and support. This transformative experience sparked a desire to empower and guide other mothers through their own breastfeeding challenges. Becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in January 2018 was a pivotal step in my journey, solidifying my commitment to providing evidence-based care and guidance. In late 2020, I made the decision to transition full-time into private practice, allowing me to dedicate my expertise exclusively to supporting mothers and babies in their breastfeeding endeavors. With years of hands-on experience in labor and delivery, coupled with my specialized training as an IBCLC, I bring a unique blend of medical expertise and compassionate care to every interaction. I understand the physical and emotional aspects of breastfeeding, and I am committed to providing personalized guidance tailored to each mother's individual needs. When I'm not assisting mothers and babies, my faith and family keep me grounded. I'm a proud wife and mother of two wonderful sons. My own family experiences have deepened my understanding of the complexities of parenthood and the importance of a strong support system. Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to being a part of your breastfeeding adventure.❤️

Guided by an unwavering passion for nurturing others, Nicole embarked on a transformative journey to elevate the lives of new and expectant mothers. After earning her psychology degree from Texas A&M Corpus Christi in 2004, Nicole took the path of nursing, driven by an innate desire to make a meaningful impact. Her nursing journey crystallized at Delmar College in Corpus Christi, where she obtained her associate degree in Nursing in 2007. Stepping into various nursing roles, it was within the tender embrace of Labor and Delivery that Nicole's heart found its true home - working with new mothers. In 2011, a pivotal shift occurred as Nicole joined Hermann Memorial Southeast's newborn nursery team and postpartum unit. This marked the genesis of her journey into the realm of lactation. Beginning as a Certified Lactation Counselor, Nicole's fervor and expertise propelled her into the heart of the Lactation and Education Department in 2014. Nurturing mothers at their bedside, Nicole wove a tapestry of support that extended far beyond feeding. Her efforts championed initiatives like skin-to-skin after deliveries, promoting parent-newborn unity, and empowering nursing staff with essential breastfeeding skills. Nicole's commitment was honored with the Good Samaritan Bronze Award in both 2014 and 2016, reflecting her transformative work in the Lactation department. In 2015, she achieved a significant milestone by becoming an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). This was paralleled by her completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Texas, Arlington. A new chapter unfolded in 2017, as Nicole joined forces with Suzanne, Tessa, and Kyna, at Dr. James Liu, ENT's office, specializing in oral restriction diagnosis and treatment. Her role involved providing pre and post-frenotomy support, alleviating feeding challenges caused by lip and tongue-ties. Harnessing this wealth of experience, Nicole established her private practice, extending compassionate in-home lactation support across Southeast Houston. The natural progression led her to unite her private practice with Bayou City Breastfeeding, LLC in 2019, further amplifying her reach to support mothers in South and Central Houston. A dedicated board member of Houston Area Lactation Consultants and Educators (HALCEA), Nicole's community commitment reflects her unwavering dedication to making a difference. Nestled in Houston, Texas, alongside her husband and two daughters, Nicole enjoys an active life and finds solace in Pilates classes

In 2013, she started her career working for a Neuro-Oncologist in Houston who specializes in treating brain cancers. She married her husband, Brian, in 2014. After she experienced breastfeeding difficulties with her own tongue and lip tied baby her journey towards supporting breastfeeding dyads began. In 2017, She returned to work and switched fields of nursing, leaving private practice and entering into the hospital setting. She worked as a postpartum mother/baby nurse at St. Luke’s and quickly became part of the lactation team, having the privilege to enter into many families' first feeding moments and experiences with their newborns. In 2018, she gave birth to her first son, who was diagnosed with a rare congenital heart defect and who spent 1 month in the level IV NICU. During this time, she experienced exclusive pumping for the first 3 weeks until she was allowed to breastfeed him in the NICU. She continued to pump while separated until he came home, where she was able to breastfeed him. In 2020, she became pregnant with her 3rd child. During her pregnancy she obtained her CLC while working towards obtaining her IBCLC. She gave birth to her second son in the Fall of 2020. She has been a licensed IBCLC since January 2021, and later joined Bayou City Breastfeeding that Spring. Hello, I’m Katelyn Kleiber, and I’m passionate about empowering families on their breastfeeding journey. As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Registered Lactation Consultant (RLC), I’ve dedicated my career to supporting new parents and their little ones. I took a unique path to becoming an IBCLC. Unlike many others, I started working in lactation before experiencing my own breastfeeding journey. But my fascination with a woman’s incredible ability to grow and sustain life has been with me since childhood. This lifelong passion for women’s health led me to explore various avenues within the field. Then came my “aha” moment: lactation. I realized there was a significant gap in support for postpartum families, and I felt drawn to fill it. Guided by this newfound purpose, I embarked on my journey as a lactation consultant. Since July 2022, I’ve officially held the title of IBCLC. However, my journey began earlier—back in December 2021—when I worked with clients as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS) and intern. These experiences shaped my approach to lactation support. I firmly believe that our bodies and beings are interconnected. When working with families, I consider both mother and baby as part of a system. It’s essential to address complications on both sides. But my philosophy extends beyond medical care. I create realistic, sustainable plans that preserve positive relationships around feedings. Breastfeeding isn’t just about nutrition; it’s a beautiful dance between two souls. I encourage laid-back breastfeeding, allowing families to feed without cumbersome nursing pillows. Babies can use their reflexes to their advantage, making feeding a more natural experience. At Bayou City Breastfeeding, we’ve designed a care model that allows us to continue supporting families over weeks, months, or even years. These meaningful relationships are incredibly special. Witnessing progress and positive changes during our journey together fills me with joy. Breastfeeding success isn’t a solo endeavor. Families—partners, grandparents, and all—are crucial. Their support eases the transition into life with a newborn. Together, we create a nurturing environment where everyone plays a vital role. Every family is unique. I take the time to understand their goals, challenges, and dreams. Whether it’s baby-led latch, side-lying bottle feeding, or other techniques, I tailor my recommendations to fit their specific situation. Realistic, doable plans ensure families thrive. Breastfeeding can be overwhelming. When mothers feel uncertain or stressed, I work collaborativel with the mother to identify stressors and create a personalized strategy to minimize discomfort. We’re a team, supporting each other through the ups and downs. When I’m not helping families, you’ll find me exploring the world. Traveling allows me to learn from different cultures and connect with people. I’m an avid reader, diving into books that expand my horizons. And nature—oh, how it rejuvenates my soul! Whether hiking through lush forests or strolling along sandy shores, I find solace in the great outdoors

Allow me to introduce myself - I'm Dr. Lyndsay Ritchley, a chiropractor driven by a deep-rooted passion for holistic healing and empowering families on their wellness journeys. My journey into chiropractic care was sparked by a fundamental belief in addressing the root causes of health issues rather than merely masking symptoms. Growing up surrounded by allopathic medicine practitioners, I sensed a gap in the system - a need for a more comprehensive approach to pain management and overall well-being. It wasn't until high school, during a research project on alternative medicine, that I discovered chiropractic care. One serendipitous phone call later, I found myself working in a chiropractic office, where I fell head over heels in love with the field. However, my path to becoming a chiropractor wasn't straightforward. After graduating, I initially pursued a career as an x-ray technologist, gaining invaluable experience in the medical field. Yet, my passion for alternative medicine persisted, fueled by my own journey into motherhood and the desire to make a meaningful difference in healthcare. For the past decade, I've dedicated myself to chiropractic care, specializing in supporting families, particularly mothers and babies. As a mother who faced challenges with breastfeeding, I understand firsthand the feelings of inadequacy and frustration that can arise. That's why I'm deeply committed to helping babies improve their breastfeeding abilities and supporting parents through their journey with encouragement and practical guidance. When it comes to supporting families, I understand that each one is unique, with their own set of needs and preferences. That's why I tailor my care plans to fit seamlessly into their lives, offering creative solutions for home care and involving older siblings in the process to foster a supportive family environment. Driven by compassion, fueled by experience, and guided by a commitment to holistic wellness, I'm honored to be a part of each family's journey towards health and happiness. Beyond my professional endeavors, I find solace and joy in cooking, staying active, and immersing myself in the serenity of the beach. It's where I feel most at peace, with the sand beneath my feet and the sound of the waves as my soundtrack.

My journey began in New Orleans where I graduated from LSU Health Sciences Center’s School of Nursing. My love for Maternal-Child Health truly blossomed after witnessing a Midwife-assisted delivery while in nursing school. My approach to lactation support is holistic and biological, and tailored to each family's unique needs. I understand that no two breastfeeding journeys are the same, and I strive to determine the root cause of any difficulties. My goal is to help your family meet your breastfeeding goals and empower you throughout your journey with excellent support, care, and education. One of my greatest joys is seeing the bond created between the infant and the breastfeeding parent. Watching infants thrive and develop is incredibly rewarding for me, and I find parental empowerment equally fulfilling. I also believe that other family members, such as partners and grandparents, play a vital role in the breastfeeding journey. They are a crucial part of the support network and help the breastfeeding parent achieve their goals. My support is structured to meet the unique needs of each family. If a mother feels uncertain or overwhelmed about breastfeeding, I take several steps: praising her accomplishments, actively listening to her concerns, assessing the dyad, discussing any changes in breastfeeding goals, and creating or modifying the Plan of Care. I often recommend techniques like "skin to skin Baby-Moons" which include baby-led/cue based feeding and laid-back biological breastfeeding. This method allows the baby to explore and be in control, fostering a natural and comfortable breastfeeding experience. My current areas of study and interest as an IBCLC include microbiome seeding/ gut health and bottle refusal.

Hello! I'm Tania Nuezca, and one of my passions is supporting families through their incredible journey of parenthood, particularly in the realms of childbirth education and lactation support. I would like to share my background and a little bit about myself. With over a decade of experience as a childbirth educator, I've dedicated myself to helping families navigate the exciting yet challenging transition into parenthood. Along the way, I've taken additional classes to hone my skills, delving into topics like spinning babies, rebozo use during pregnancy and labor, bengkung belly binding, and neonatal resuscitation. It's all part of my commitment to offering comprehensive support to families during this transformative time. Based in Humble, Atascocita, and Kingwood, I'm here for families in these areas and also travel out to Houston to support families, offering both in-person and virtual visits. Whether it's convenient for you to have a home, office, or virtual consultation, I'm here to provide the guidance and support families need. Beyond my childbirth education background, I'm an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). My journey to becoming an IBCLC was inspired by my own experiences struggling with breastfeeding my three children. Through my own challenges, I developed a deep empathy for families facing similar struggles and a strong desire to provide them with the support they need from the very beginning. With a holistic approach to lactation support, I believe in addressing the needs of the whole person. I find immense reward in helping families feel empowered and confident in their feeding choices, knowing that they have the knowledge and support to nurture their little ones. Outside of my professional role, I cherish spending time with my family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and embarking on adventures. One of my biggest passions is learning sign language for my two deaf children and to support the broader D/deaf community, from pregnancy to lactation. My current skill level is conversational sign but am working on fluency and medical terminology. When it comes to supporting breastfeeding families, I recognize the importance of involving other family members, such as partners and grandparents, in the journey. Their support is invaluable in bolstering parents' confidence and empowerment. As a mom of two children with a rare genetic condition, I've spent many hours researching. I also use this determination when supporting new families. I enjoy researching to find the right answer for you. I tailor my support to meet the unique needs and preferences of each family by starting with open communication and truly listening to their concerns. When a mother is feeling uncertain or overwhelmed about breastfeeding, I provide a compassionate ear and work with them to develop a plan that aligns with their wishes and makes them feel empowered. I often recommend techniques like baby-led latch and laid-back breastfeeding, as I've seen firsthand how these methods can help babies achieve a successful latch and make the breastfeeding journey smoother for both parents and infants. In essence, I'm here to offer compassionate, personalized support to families as they embark on the extraordinary adventure of parenthood. If you're in need of guidance or encouragement along the way, I'm just a message away. Let's navigate this journey together!

Hello! If you're seeking a holistic, family-centered approach to lactation, infant feeding and parenting support, I'm Suzanne, and I'm here for you. My journey began in 2003 with the foundation of Merry-Go-Round in Kingwood, a haven for moms seeking both community and lactation guidance. By 2014, I was instrumental in establishing a breastfeeding-friendly environment at The Woman's Hospital of Texas. Shortly after, I teamed up with Dr. James Liu, known for his expertise in addressing oral restrictions. Together, we ensured comprehensive care for families grappling with challenges like lip and tongue ties. However, my passion didn't stop there. Recognizing the need for more tailored support, Bayou City Breastfeeding was born in 2016. We passionately believe in empowering parents, firmly holding that they are the true experts on their children. In today's often confusing landscape of parenting advice, we bridge the gap. Beyond mere lactation advice, we're here to build lasting relationships, offering insights on everything from infant feeding to mental health, viewing each family holistically to ensure everyone's needs are addressed. Professionally, I stared out as a Certified Lactation Counselor and achieved the gold standard International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant certification in 2014. I value contnuing education and have pursued additional training in numerous areas related to breastfeeding and infant feeding. Presently, I'm honored to serve as President of HALCEA, nurturing growth in the lactation community. On a personal note, I'm privileged to celebrate 24+ years of marriage and the joy of parenting. Outside of work, I relish running, reading, and painting. I'm here to stand by you, ensuring you feel valued and heard on this incredible journey.
