About me
Welcome to my corner of the internet! I'm Brandy, a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a passion for helping mothers and babies on their breastfeeding journey. My career in nursing began in 2006, where I initially found my calling in the labor and delivery unit. Witnessing the miracle of new life and being a part of that special moment filled me with joy and purpose. However, it was my personal experience with breastfeeding challenges that truly ignited my passion for lactation and breastfeeding support. As a mother myself, I faced hurdles and uncertainties in my breastfeeding journey that led me to dive headfirst into the world of lactation science and support. This transformative experience sparked a desire to empower and guide other mothers through their own breastfeeding challenges. Becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in January 2018 was a pivotal step in my journey, solidifying my commitment to providing evidence-based care and guidance. In late 2020, I made the decision to transition full-time into private practice, allowing me to dedicate my expertise exclusively to supporting mothers and babies in their breastfeeding endeavors. With years of hands-on experience in labor and delivery, coupled with my specialized training as an IBCLC, I bring a unique blend of medical expertise and compassionate care to every interaction. I understand the physical and emotional aspects of breastfeeding, and I am committed to providing personalized guidance tailored to each mother's individual needs. When I'm not assisting mothers and babies, my faith and family keep me grounded. I'm a proud wife and mother of two wonderful sons. My own family experiences have deepened my understanding of the complexities of parenthood and the importance of a strong support system.
