I am a Certified Newborn Care Specialist, Certified Postpartum Doula, and Certified Infant Sleep Consultant with over a decade of hands-on experience supporting families through the newborn and postpartum stages. I am also certified in Safe Sleep Education and HIPAA Compliance, and I am an active member of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric & Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), allowing me to provide evidence-based care in alignment with OB-GYN and perinatal teams. My expertise lies in overnight newborn care, particularly with high-needs infants, including freshly discharged NICU infants, premature multiples, and medically complex babies, with experience supporting individualized feeding plans, including NG tube care and feeding tube management, in close collaboration with parents and medical teams. I am also experienced in developmental sleep conditioning and establishing structured yet gentle routines that promote healthy sleep patterns. I provide attentive, high-level postpartum support, ensuring both baby and parents are cared for with intention, discretion, and professionalism. I approach every family with a calm, intuitive presence, creating an environment that feels both restful and reassuring. My care style is gentle, detail-oriented, and rooted in safety, while remaining adaptable to each baby’s temperament and each family’s unique dynamic. I take pride in not only supporting infants, but also in guiding parents to feel confident, informed, and at ease during this transition. Having worked with singletons, multiples, and extremely preterm infants, I am comfortable in high-responsibility roles and thrive in environments that require both attentiveness and emotional intelligence. I am deeply committed to safe sleep practices and maintaining the highest standards of care at all times. In addition to my clinical experience, I bring a strong background in client relations, business development, and creative production, along with leadership training from Harvard Business School and a professional certificate in Corporate Finance from Columbia. This allows me to integrate seamlessly, communicate effectively, and uphold a high level of professionalism in every interaction. I am seeking opportunities with families who value a thoughtful, elevated level of care, where I can provide consistent, nurturing support while helping create a sense of balance, rest, and confidence during the postpartum period.

It is my absolute pleasure to recommend Fontanne Bassey. She cared for my baby, Amelia, and was truly exceptional in every way. Fontanne stood out immediately for her professionalism, warmth, and deep expertise in newborn care. Fontanne specializes in working with newborns and demonstrated remarkable knowledge of baby development and activities. She thoughtfully introduced engaging, age-appropriate routines and executed them diligently and on time. She was always punctual, dependable, and communicated with me clearly and consistently throughout the day. Fontanne kept detailed track of Amelia’s naps, feedings, and general well-being, which gave me complete peace of mind as a parent. Hi there! I’m a Certified Lactation Counselor and currently training to be a Birth Doula under CBI. My approach is holistic but realistic — I look at the whole picture while meeting you exactly where you are. As part of my services, I support families prenatally and postpartum. This includes: Prenatal sessions to discuss your birth goals and history, cover birth education, and practice mental and physical exercises tailored to you. Birth support, including attending your birth and assisting with your first nursing session. Postpartum support at home as a Lactation Counselor to help with breastfeeding and adjustment. I’d love the opportunity to support you on this

Hanna was my doula for the birth of my second child and I can’t say enough good things about her. She took the time to listen to my history, my goals, anxieties/worries, as well as my expectations of her as my doula. During our meetings, she always provided lots of helpful information regarding exercises that can help my discomforts during pregnancy, meditation, labor positions, ways my husband can help me throughout pregnancy as well as during contractions, etc. All of this helped me prepare mentally, physically and emotionally for the big day. Most importantly, her calm and grounding presence and the emotional support she provided during labor was so helpful in keeping me and my husband stay focused and motivated while feeling safe and supported. Thanks to Hanna, I had a very positive birth experience and I was able to give birth to a healthy baby girl! She continues to follow up with me regarding breastfeeding which is helpful. Hanna truly cares about her clients I would without a doubt recommend her to anyone looking for a doula!

Hi, I’m Avery. I’m an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and, most importantly, a mom to two little ones who inspired my passion for supporting families during the early stages of parenthood. My own experiences with motherhood showed me just how beautiful, overwhelming, and transformative this season can be. I know firsthand how much parents want to simply soak in those newborn moments without feeling stressed, confused, or alone when feeding challenges arise. That understanding is what led me to this work. I truly believe that lactation support is not a luxury. It is a vital part of prenatal and postpartum care. Every family deserves access to compassionate, evidence-based, and affordable support during such a vulnerable and important time. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and supported as you navigate feeding your baby. Whether you’re preparing during pregnancy, working through challenges, or simply looking for reassurance, I’m here to listen, guide, and help you find what works best for you and your baby.

Recent review

Avery is so sweet, encouraging & makes you feel comfortable! She handles your baby with care & pays attention to what you need help with. She recommended some exercises to do for my baby & advice on how to relieve some pain I had from a shallow latch. It’s also a huge plus that she will come to your home! So nice to not have to go anywhere & be in the comfort of your home.

Welcome to my corner of the internet! I'm Brandy, a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a passion for helping mothers and babies on their breastfeeding journey. My career in nursing began in 2006, where I initially found my calling in the labor and delivery unit. Witnessing the miracle of new life and being a part of that special moment filled me with joy and purpose. However, it was my personal experience with breastfeeding challenges that truly ignited my passion for lactation and breastfeeding support. As a mother myself, I faced hurdles and uncertainties in my breastfeeding journey that led me to dive headfirst into the world of lactation science and support. This transformative experience sparked a desire to empower and guide other mothers through their own breastfeeding challenges. Becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in January 2018 was a pivotal step in my journey, solidifying my commitment to providing evidence-based care and guidance. In late 2020, I made the decision to transition full-time into private practice, allowing me to dedicate my expertise exclusively to supporting mothers and babies in their breastfeeding endeavors. With years of hands-on experience in labor and delivery, coupled with my specialized training as an IBCLC, I bring a unique blend of medical expertise and compassionate care to every interaction. I understand the physical and emotional aspects of breastfeeding, and I am committed to providing personalized guidance tailored to each mother's individual needs. When I'm not assisting mothers and babies, my faith and family keep me grounded. I'm a proud wife and mother of two wonderful sons. My own family experiences have deepened my understanding of the complexities of parenthood and the importance of a strong support system. Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to being a part of your breastfeeding adventure.❤️

Guided by an unwavering passion for nurturing others, Nicole embarked on a transformative journey to elevate the lives of new and expectant mothers. After earning her psychology degree from Texas A&M Corpus Christi in 2004, Nicole took the path of nursing, driven by an innate desire to make a meaningful impact. Her nursing journey crystallized at Delmar College in Corpus Christi, where she obtained her associate degree in Nursing in 2007. Stepping into various nursing roles, it was within the tender embrace of Labor and Delivery that Nicole's heart found its true home - working with new mothers. In 2011, a pivotal shift occurred as Nicole joined Hermann Memorial Southeast's newborn nursery team and postpartum unit. This marked the genesis of her journey into the realm of lactation. Beginning as a Certified Lactation Counselor, Nicole's fervor and expertise propelled her into the heart of the Lactation and Education Department in 2014. Nurturing mothers at their bedside, Nicole wove a tapestry of support that extended far beyond feeding. Her efforts championed initiatives like skin-to-skin after deliveries, promoting parent-newborn unity, and empowering nursing staff with essential breastfeeding skills. Nicole's commitment was honored with the Good Samaritan Bronze Award in both 2014 and 2016, reflecting her transformative work in the Lactation department. In 2015, she achieved a significant milestone by becoming an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). This was paralleled by her completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Texas, Arlington. A new chapter unfolded in 2017, as Nicole joined forces with Suzanne, Tessa, and Kyna, at Dr. James Liu, ENT's office, specializing in oral restriction diagnosis and treatment. Her role involved providing pre and post-frenotomy support, alleviating feeding challenges caused by lip and tongue-ties. Harnessing this wealth of experience, Nicole established her private practice, extending compassionate in-home lactation support across Southeast Houston. The natural progression led her to unite her private practice with Bayou City Breastfeeding, LLC in 2019, further amplifying her reach to support mothers in South and Central Houston. A dedicated board member of Houston Area Lactation Consultants and Educators (HALCEA), Nicole's community commitment reflects her unwavering dedication to making a difference. Nestled in Houston, Texas, alongside her husband and two daughters, Nicole enjoys an active life and finds solace in Pilates classes

Lisa knew from a young age that she wanted to be a nurse. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in Fall of 2012, from SFASU. In 2013, she started her career working for a Neuro-Oncologist in Houston who specializes in treating brain cancers. She married her husband, Brian, in 2014. After she experienced breastfeeding difficulties with her own tongue and lip tied baby her journey towards supporting breastfeeding dyads began. In 2017, She returned to work and switched fields of nursing, leaving private practice and entering into the hospital setting. She worked as a postpartum mother/baby nurse at St. Luke’s and quickly became part of the lactation team, having the privilege to enter into many families' first feeding moments and experiences with their newborns. In 2018, she gave birth to her first son, who was diagnosed with a rare congenital heart defect and who spent 1 month in the level IV NICU. During this time, she experienced exclusive pumping for the first 3 weeks until she was allowed to breastfeed him in the NICU. She continued to pump while separated until he came home, where she was able to breastfeed him. In 2020, she became pregnant with her 3rd child. During her pregnancy she obtained her CLC while working towards obtaining her IBCLC. She gave birth to her second son in the Fall of 2020. She has been a licensed IBCLC since January 2021, and later joined Bayou City Breastfeeding that Spring. Lisa has successfully breastfed all three of her children through various challenges including returning to work. More recently, she has become certified with the Child Sleep Institute after having difficulties night weaning her own 2 yr old at the time. The Child Sleep Institute has given Lisa the tools needed to help support families experiencing difficulties in their child’s sleep.
