About Alicia

Alicia Gaber, BSN, RN, IBCLC, is a registered nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant who became an IBCLC in 2023. Her path into lactation care began with her own challenging breastfeeding experience. Compassionate, skilled lactation support not only improved her baby's feeding journey but also transformed her experience of early motherhood. Inspired by that experience, Alicia completed the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant program through the University of California San Diego and has since dedicated her career to helping families achieve their feeding goals with confidence and support. Alicia brings a broad and thoughtful perspective to her work. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Oberlin College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, with professional experience in women's healthcare and reproductive health. She is passionate about helping families understand the "why" behind feeding challenges, identify the issues that matter most, and create individualized solutions that fit their unique circumstances. Her clinical interests include supporting families experiencing low milk supply, oversupply, exclusive pumping, oral tether concerns, and breastfeeding challenges related to functional maternal health, including autoimmune conditions and hormonal imbalances. Alicia enjoys working through complex feeding situations and helping parents develop practical, sustainable strategies that align with their family's goals. Alicia is LGBTQ+ inclusive, and she warmly welcomes families of all structures, identities, and feeding goals. She believes every family deserves evidence-based care, respect, and support as they navigate their own feeding journey. Alicia provides home visits for families inside the Loop as well as in Bellaire, Tanglewood, and Meyerland. She is committed to meeting families where they are in their feeding journey and providing personalized care that supports both parent and baby.

Night/Weekend/Holiday Fee: $50

Holidays: New Year's Day, MLK Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day.

Late Cancellation Fees

Rescheduling within 48 hours of your visit is considered a cancellation. More than 48 hours notice: no fee, unless there is a history of chronic rescheduling, in which case a $15 fee may apply. Less than 48 hours: $50 (visits over 30 min), $15 (30 min visit), $50 (Combo Lactation / Chiropractic). Less than 24 hours: $100 (visits over 30 min), $30 (30 min visit), $100 (Combo Lactation / Chiropractic). No-show / missed appointment: the full visit fee (Full Rate). If you are unable to attend due to illness or an emergency, the cancellation fee may be waived as long as the appointment is rescheduled and takes place within 10 days.

If you do not arrive for an appointment and have not attempted to cancel the appointment, you will be charged the full amount of the appointment.
