About Shannon

Hi, I’m Shannon! I’m a Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), co-owner of Thrive Lactation & Wellness in Issaquah, and a mom of four. I help families prepare for feeding before birth and navigate breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, and the early weeks with a newborn. Whether you’re experiencing a painful latch, have questions about milk supply or weight gain, or simply want reassurance, I offer practical guidance and a personalized plan that fits your family. I believe families deserve compassionate, ongoing support as their baby grows and feeding needs change. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and confident in your choices—whatever your feeding journey looks like. I offer prenatal and postpartum lactation care in the clinic, in your home, and virtually. I’d love to support you and your growing family!

What to expect

At Thrive Lactation & Wellness, we offer personalized care to help you feel prepared during pregnancy and supported after your baby arrives. Our services include prenatal feeding education, breastfeeding and latch support, milk supply assessments, infant weight checks, pumping guidance and flange fitting, and bottle-feeding support. With clinic, home, and virtual visits, we work with you to create a practical plan that supports your feeding goals and your family’s needs. Our prenatal-to-birth-and-beyond packages connect preparation before delivery with ongoing support once your baby is here. Prenatal visits give us time to learn your history, discuss your goals, and prepare for the first days of feeding. After birth, follow-up visits and check-ins allow us to reassess feeding, monitor progress, and adjust your plan as your baby grows. You’ll have a familiar team to turn to for guidance, encouragement, and answers along the way.

I had an initial consultation with Shannon, and she was absolutely wonderful! She was so kind and easy to talk to, which made the session genuinely enjoyable. Shannon is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to walk me through all of my options and the details of each, which helped me make the best decision for my situation. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for lactation and/or feeding support!

Five days after my first daughter was born, I had bruised and bleeding nipples and was unable to breastfeed her because of the pain. Panic and fear set in, and we had to scramble to figure out the pump so she was fed for that night. We were lucky enough to get an appointment with Nicole the next morning, and she fixed the latch and gave us so many pointers that eased our feeding journey. Six months into EBF now, and I can say with confidence that meeting with Nicole was one of the best things we did for ourselves postpartum. I would recommend her to all moms who are keen on breastfeeding and are having difficulties.

Highly recommend this place. My son was having latching issues, and we saw Shannon - she was truly wonderful and very knowledgeable. In just two sessions, she helped me build confidence in my breastfeeding journey and patiently answered all my questions. I’m incredibly grateful for her support.
