Mercedes is looking for Birth Doula, Midwife
Location: Houston, TX 77009, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: November 04, 2026
I wouldn't mind a hospital birth, but a water birth is my choice. I have insurance with Aetna, so whatever my insurance doesn't cover is my budget...? If you don't work with insurance, ideally I'm not trying to go over 6k. I prefer a holistic and natural approach. I need someone I can contact easily that will respond withing a couple hours and not 24 hours. I prefer a midwife/doula that is a POC, has a background in ancient traditional birthing, and knows herbs better than me. I don't want Westernized typical American care where I'm just another dollar to the facility and not a patient growing a little human. Ideally, my midwife/doula is compassionate, can be funny where space allows, and is very knowledgeable and can handle emergencies if the case cause for it rather than automatically pressing for cesarean.

I am currently on baby number six. I’ve had four vag deliveries one cesarean. I will make five month pregnant next week! Also 13 month post cesarean. I am in a nerve wreck as I am trying for trans vag. I had an horrible experience with my cesarean. Hopefully a doula is what I need when it comes to knowledge and any preparation needed

Hospital birth, first time, hoping for unmedicated but open to epidural if struggling. Hoping to have my mom present and baby’s father but both live out of state so wanting someone I can depend on that’s knowledgeable. I don’t really know what average cost for doula services so would have to discuss cost.

Location: Houston, TX 77018, USA

I am a first time mom and I plan to give birth at the hospital. I’m not sure about a budget. I haven’t fully constructed my birth plan, but I know for sure I want my birth and delivery as natural, low maintenance, unmedicated vaginal birth. I don’t want the umbilical cord to be cut right away, no episiotomy, I want to my placenta to come out naturally, I don’t want to push on my back, non-medical coping strategies, using my own linens, delayed cord clamping, skin to skin immediately/uninterrupted golden hour with mom first hour then dad, I and/or my husband will be present at all tests (baby will not be out of our sight), lactation consultant asap, breastfeeding immediately, birthing ball, remaining mobile, intermittent monitoring, saline locked, care clustered and DND sign, labor down, dimmed lighting, my own music, delayed bath, have my placenta come out naturally and encapsulated, do not wipe off vernix, I am having a boy so we want him to be circumcised. I would like a very well educated, knowledgeable, and experienced doula not only with birthing but assisting in birthing/delivery with a black woman. I have tricare west insurance.
Susan is looking for Birth Doula
Location: Houston, TX 77018, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: February 10, 2027
Hi, my name is Susan, I’m 37 and this is my first pregnancy. My provider is Women’s Choice Midwifery and will birth at The Women's Hospital of Houston. While I am not locked in to any certain budget, from some other doula services I’ve looked at online, I’m expecting pricing to be around $2000. My goal is a physiological birth, allowing my body to do what it was designed do. I am looking for a doula to support that and help me avoid unnecessary interventions.

Birth Location: Hospital or birth center. Budget: Prefer a midwife who accepts my insurance and minimizes out-of-pocket costs. Birth Plan: I’m expecting twins and want a calm, supportive birth with as natural a delivery as safely possible. I want a midwife experienced with twin pregnancies who will support my choices while prioritizing the safety of me and my babies. Insurance: Medicaid — I’m looking for a provider who accepts my specific Medicaid plan.

Location: Gridiron, Houston, TX 77054, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: September 24, 2026
This is my first baby. My family lives in California and I live in Long Beach. So I’m in need of learning the do’s and don’ts of childbirth and afterbirth care. Also prepping my body for delivery. Ideally I would like to have a water birth because it seems safer for the baby and I. By research I’ve seen most doula’s cost $25 an hour. I do have insurance and I’m hoping that can help with the finances.

I'm a first time mom, age 42. I feel that the info my mother share may be outdated and the internet is saturated with contradicting information so I'm overwhelmed. I would prefer to use my insurance if that's possible. I'd like to have a natural birth but I really don't know my options. My husband is more comfortable with spanish so that would good.
