I am planning a hospital birth and am looking for a birth doula who can provide emotional, physical, and informational support throughout labor and delivery. I want someone who will help me advocate for my birth plan, communicate with the medical team, and provide comfort measures during labor. My goal is to go into labor naturally and avoid Pitocin, induction, and a C-section unless they become medically necessary for the safety of me or my baby. I want a doula who will support my preferences, help me stay calm and informed, and provide continuous support throughout my labor and birth. I would prefer a certified doula with hospital birth experience who accepts Texas Medicaid or offers affordable pricing, sliding-scale fees, or payment plans, as my budget is limited.
