About me

Hi, my name is Carolyn. I am a registered IBCLC living in Houston, Texas. I am a "retired" engineer and mom to four wonderful kids. My passion for breastfeeding and supporting other moms began after experiencing the support of a lactation consultant myself. I have had four unique breastfeeding experiences myself including bottle refusal, returning to work, NICU stays, premature babies, twins, and even hospitalization due to RSV. It is my goal to help you where you are at with evidence based knowledge to achieve your infant feeding goals whatever they might be.

Carolyn is attentive, patient and flexible. She has a lot of personal experience with breastfeeding in addition to her training which makes her support feel more personal as she can relate to different breastfeeding issues. Carolyn pointed out a severe tongue tie in my daughter that was causing issues with her ability to effectively take a bottle. Even though she couldn't support our entire journey due to our family moving away, Carolyn still took the time to check in on how things were going. Very grateful for her help!

Carolyn was so great to work with and made what seemed like an overwhelming process as a first time mom not so overwhelming. She was encouraging when I felt like I couldn’t keep going and really put me at ease. When she didn’t have the answer right away to some questions, she did the research and got back to me quickly. I have Carolyn to thank for me being able to breastfeed my daughter for 10.5 months (the only reason we stopped was she was more interested in solids). 100% would recommend her to any of my friends!

After EBF five babies, my 6th was deemed a “lazy eater” by the pediatrician. Caroline visited me in my home and helped me with latching, pumping, and gave me other tips and tricks, but most importantly she offered me encouragement to not give up. Caroline was so relatable and it felt like a visit with an old friend. Afterwards, Caroline went above and beyond by checking in on me and helping me get supplies that I needed to make sure my baby was gaining weight and feeding well. My breastfeeding experience with my 6th was not at all what I had hoped it would be, but without Caroline I do not think I would have persevered. She was a valuable coach and encourager!
