Christina Johnson BSPH, CBD, CPD, CCLS, CLC, IBCLC. I am a mother of two. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Wayne State University in 2018. I became a Certified Lactation Counselor in 2018, completed the Clinical and Communication Lactation Specialist training in 2021, and then passed the International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant exam in 2023. I'm certified as a birth and postpartum doula by Lifespan Doulas. Love for my own family and my community has led me to focus on health education, promoting awareness of human lactation, and assisting in extending breastfeeding duration and exclusivity for the families I serve. Katelyn Kleiber, IBCLC, RLC, began working with breastfeeding families as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist and lactation intern before becoming an IBCLC in 2022. Her interest in lactation grew from a longstanding interest in women’s health and the need for better support during the postpartum period. Katelyn views feeding as a relationship between parent and baby rather than a single technical skill. She considers both sides of the feeding pair, works with families to identify the factors making feeding more difficult, and develops plans that are practical and sustainable at home. A particular focus of Katelyn’s practice is the connection between feeding and sleep as babies grow. She enjoys helping families better understand how feeding patterns, development, sleep, and a parent’s own rest can affect one another. Through sleep consultations, she works with families to find realistic approaches that support both baby’s needs and the well-being of the parent. Katelyn values long-term care and the opportunity to support families as their needs change throughout infancy and beyond. Her approach is thoughtful, individualized, and centered on helping families feel informed and confident as they navigate both feeding and sleep. Her unique perspective on family centered care comes from a compilation of knowledge that she gained by working in a Level III NICU, as a postpartum doula, as a lactation consultant and a body worker. Her philosophy is that every family should feel they are thriving, not just surviving, the adjustment to adding a new baby to the family. While a lot of her time is focused on the first three months after delivery, her support can span years as the family unit is ever evolving. Her specialties include oral function, assessment for oral restriction (aka lip/tongue ties), tension release with CFT, post NICU graduates, multiples, and medically complex infants. The most important factors that drive the care you will receive from Liz are 1) what are you goals as a family and 2) what is the root cause of any struggle you are experiencing.
