About me

Hello! I am a Postpartum RN and board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) with a passion for supporting families during the early days of life with a newborn. My over 25 years of experience in maternal-infant care has given me the clinical knowledge to guide parents through recovery from birth, newborn care, and feeding challenges. I provide compassionate and personalized care in the comfort of your own home. My goal is to empower each family with confidence, practical skills, and reassurance so you may feel supported, informed and connected during the adjustment to parenthood. When appropriate, I will collaborate with or contact your pediatrician, OB, or other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and to support safe, comprehensive care.

Service introduction

The Joy of Nursing provides in-home and virtual prenatal and postpartum support from a Registered Nurse. My lactation services include support with latch and positioning, milk supply, pumping and trouble shooting common challenges. I assess each infant and provide pre and post feeding weight checks to determine feeding effectiveness, and overall well being to ensure both you and your baby are thriving. In the comfort of your home, I assist with newborn care, maternal health, feeding guidance and emotional support. My goal is to offer hands on help and practical education to build your confidence. I provide guidance on newborn behavior, sleep patterns, soothing techniques and postpartum recovery. Every visit is centered around your feeding goals, whether that is exclusive breastfeeding or supplementation.
