About Me Hi, I’m Amanda — an IBCLC and registered nurse with over a decade of experience caring for moms and babies. After 13 years in the hospital setting, I felt a strong pull to serve families in a more intentional, personalized way… and that’s how Breastfriends was born. What started as a passion has grown into a practice built on trust, relationships, and results. I’ve had the honor of becoming one of the top referral sources in my area, working closely with providers across disciplines to ensure families feel supported every step of the way. I’m especially passionate about oral function, tethered oral tissues, and helping babies feed the way they were designed to — comfortably, efficiently, and without pain for mom. But more than anything, I’m here to walk alongside you. Because this journey isn’t always easy… and you were never meant to do it alone. 🤍 My approach is rooted in: ✨ Function First We assess why feeding feels difficult — looking at oral function, muscle use, tension, and coordination. ✨ Whole-Baby, Whole-Mom Care Feeding is connected to the entire body. I often collaborate with trusted providers in bodywork, speech therapy, and airway-focused dentistry to support lasting outcomes. ✨ Preparation + Support (Not Quick Fixes) If a release is needed, I believe in proper prep and follow-up care — because outcomes matter more than quick procedures. ✨ Education + Empowerment You deserve to understand what’s happening with your baby and feel confident in your decisions. No pressure. No judgment. Just guidance and support. What You Can Expect When you walk into my office, you’re not just another appointment. You’ll be heard. You’ll be supported. And we’ll create a plan that works for you and your baby. Because at the end of the day… Happy milk. Happy life. 🤍
