About Christina
Christina Johnson BSPH, CBD, CPD, CCLS, CLC, IBCLC. I am a mother of two. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Wayne State University in 2018. I became a Certified Lactation Counselor in 2018, completed the Clinical and Communication Lactation Specialist training in 2021, and then passed the International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant exam in 2023. I'm certified as a birth and postpartum doula by Lifespan Doulas. Love for my own family and my community has led me to focus on health education, promoting awareness of human lactation, and assisting in extending breastfeeding duration and exclusivity for the families I serve. I am passionate about accessible lactation care and enthusiastic about health and wellness promotion and youth development. My goal is simply to aid others in being healthy and keeping their family healthy. My expertise is in maternal and child health, emphasizing a positive breastfeeding experience and an active family lifestyle. I love to support parents in reaching their breastfeeding goals and guiding them when life circumstances limit their breastfeeding goals. The combination of these values led me to launch Lactation Lighthouse.

Christina was amazing! I was feeling so discouraged with my breastfeeding journey after having mastitis a few times and she was able to help me pinpoint what the causes might be. After meeting with her and following her suggestions i have been mastitis free and truly enjoying my breastfeeding journey. Christina is so knowledgeable, personable, and caring. She took her time with me and baby and made sure all my questions/concerns were addressed. I immediately felt comfortable with her and would use her services again! I highly recommend her!!

Christina is awesome I’m so glad I found her. She is very personable, kind, and sweet I feel like I have known her for years. She helped me figure out that I didn’t have a low supply of breast milk it was the breast pumps. I breastfed my baby mainly. Now I’m able to pump milk and have some stored for when I return to work. We played around with the settings on all my breast pumps and figured out the problem. Before Christina I was struggling with the breast pumps and started not to like them. I’m so glad I found her. She is the best.

I worked with Christina five years ago to assist my three month premature baby to go from bottle to breast. We had successful weighted feeds and I was able to breastfeed my former 27 weeker premature baby for 2 and a half years. She's kind, has a gentle approach to breastfeeding and when she dedicates her time to you, she dedicates it well. Defintely hire her!
