I’m Sam! I am an internationally board certified lactation consultant as well as a trained postpartum and birth doula. I always knew I wanted to work with babies and families and started off as a professional nanny. Then when I had my first and started breastfeeding I fell in love with it and was such an advocate for everyone to breastfeed. It wasn’t until my 2nd daughter that I even knew lactation consultants were a thing. I got referred to one and when I met her she changed the game. So I went to Henry Ford College to get my certification and graduated from the lactation program in 2022. I understand firsthand the challenges and joys that come with feeding your baby, and I’m here to provide compassionate, personalized care to help you feel confident every step of the way. Every feeding journey is different just like every baby and parent is.
Need care close to the edge of this window?
I will come to your home to assess how feeding is going for both you and baby. I do a weight check as well as go over all things breastfeeding/bottle feeding. We will create a plan together for you to achieve your goals.
I am an IBCLC that focus on the whole picture. Parent and baby as one. I offer all types of feeding support including bottle, breast, formula and pumping.

Sam was absolutely worth every penny! As a first-time mom, I was struggling with breastfeeding—my nipples were cracked, bruised, and raw. I watched countless videos and read multiple online sources, trying everything they suggested, but nothing seemed to work. I didn’t know where to turn—until I reached out to Sam. I contacted her on a Friday afternoon, and she was able to come to my home the very next day—even on a Saturday and despite it being an hour drive for her. She even responded to my paperwork questions late Friday night so we could make the Saturday appointment happen. I was so grateful for her flexibility and willingness to accommodate me at the last minute! During our visit, Sam was incredibly friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. She patiently answered all of my questions, observed me feeding my son, and quickly identified the root of the issue. She offered several additional strategies to improve his latch and support our breastfeeding journey moving forward. On top of that, she gave me her cell phone number so I could continue to reach out with questions as they came up—and I have, multiple times. She has always responded promptly and thoroughly. I truly cannot recommend Sam enough. If you’re struggling with breastfeeding at all, you will not regret working with her!

Sam is a lifesaver. Constant issues with breastfeeding after my first baby was born, and she came to my house more times than I can count to help me through it. I owe my 16 month breastfeeding journey to her… she truly cares about her work and does it so well!

Samantha was amazing, so informative, patient, and with me every step of the way. Going above and beyond to make sure we tried every option to help me. I have recommended her to my most recent mom friends and I would recommend her to everyone if I could. The convenience of her traveling to me was so helpful to me being a new mom.

I love love LOVE Sam!! I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Sam. She comes right to my home to help me with breastfeeding my new baby girl, and she has made such a difference for us. She is so patient and never makes me feel rushed or judged, which is exactly what I needed as a new breastfeeding mom learning something that doesn’t always come easily. On top of that, she has a great sense of humor that instantly puts me at ease during what can be stressful moments. I always feel more confident and supported after each visit. I highly recommend her to any mom who needs guidance and encouragement with breastfeeding!

Sam has been amazing from the early early newborn days in helping my baby and I establish a great breastfeeding latch and address so many other issues/questions! I felt so comfortable with her and was grateful she came to my house in those early days to make things so easy! She helped me become so much more confident in breastfeeding my baby as a first time mom. Thank you, Sam!!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Sam and my experience with her as my IBCLC! I connected with her before having my son, which proved to be so helpful since he had trouble from the very beginning with latching and I was experiencing pretty significant pain. Sam came over the day after he was born and provided both lactation and emotional support as I navigated my first hours as a new parent. She's guided me through my breastfeeding journey and has been available to answer any questions and refer me as needed to other professionals (chiro, pediatric dentist, etc). Sam takes a holistic approach and has been a wonderful advocate for both myself and my son. I truly don't know what I would have done without her!!!

If you’re thinking about it…. JUST DO IT! I contacted LL because I wanted assistance with latching and to resolve pain I was having from pumping too much and poor flange use. Sam showed up with great energy and a wealth of information. I was about three weeks postpartum when I met Sam so you can imagine how chaotic I was. Regardless, she was empathetic, collaborative, comical, and worked with me and my screaming baby effortlessly. My care plan was easy to follow and attended to my lactation goals. In just a few days, my son was able to latch appropriately and all of my breast pain had subsided. I am truly grateful for Sam’s assistance and HIGHLY recommend her!
