About me
Hey there! My name is Sheri Rodriguez, IBCLC and I’m the owner of Sweetmilk Lactation Support. Serving the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley and surrounding areas! Prior to becoming an IBCLC, I was a breastfeeding mother of two. I struggled to breastfeed my first born and I was so determined to make it work! I found it very hard to find lactation support, so I did a lot of late night/ breastfeeding session google searching for answers! It was not pretty! The advice online was not helpful as everyone had a different experience! I finally found a few county IBCLCs who helped me, and the rest was history. I breastfed my first for 23 months and my second for over 3 years. I quickly knew a few months after my first was born that I wanted to be the support to other families struggling to breastfeed their babies. I started on my journey and became a lactation educator and La Leche league leader until I sat for my IBCLC exam. At Sweetmilk Lactation support, I offer in-home, office and virtual prenatal and lactation consultations. -Prenatal consultations: Learn all about what to expect when starting your breastfeeding journey. From changes that occur during pregnancy to what happens right after birth and beyond. It's designed to educate and prepare for breastfeeding. This consultation is recommended during your third trimester and is taught one-on-one. Support partners are encouraged to join. Get a head start today! -Lactation consultations: In-home or office consultations. A typical consult will run 1.5-2 hours. It will include medical history overview, maternal assessment, infant assessment, feeding observation with chief issue addressed and a personalized care plan. I also provide other consultations such at back to work, pumping and flange fitting and more. I'm here to provide lactation support to you and your family!
