Recent review

Breastfeeding is a learning process for both mother and baby, and having the guidance of a professional like Carolina was key to our success. With her guidance, any mother can feel confident about the well-being and happiness of both herself and her baby. We know that when a baby is happy, the whole family is happy. That is why I would like to thank Carolina for ensuring that I was able to breastfeed my son right from the moment of his birth. Thank you for your loving and confident professional guidance, for your kindness and patience with us, and for encouraging and motivating me during the most difficult times—of which there were many. Thanks to this professional—who loves what she does and is constantly staying up-to-date—my son is protected today because he is fed exclusively on my breast milk. He is gaining weight properly, and breastfeeding has become a unique time of affection and joy for both of us.

Neena was a lifesaver for me and my baby! I was struggling with latching and not making enough milk for my baby. Neena patiently worked with me and my baby until I was confident with latching and helped me boost my milk supply. She also has an online library of videos which she gave me access to so I could learn more about breastfeeding and pumping in my free time. I really liked the videos on pumping and would watch them while feeding at night. Even though Neena gave me some sleep training tips during our time together, I am looking forward to working with her when I am ready to tackle sleep training. I couldn’t have asked for better support—she’s truly amazing!

Five years as an IBCLC and three years prior as a CLC have given me a deep understanding of the joys and challenges that come with nurturing little ones. I believe in taking a holistic approach to lactation support, seeing the breastfeeding dyad as more than just the baby. By addressing the physical, emotional, and environmental factors at play, I'm able to provide comprehensive support tailored to your unique needs and preferences. Comfort is key in my book! I'm all about getting cozy during feedings and practicing skin-to-skin contact to enhance communication between you and your little one. It's not just about optimizing latch and effectiveness – it's about strengthening the bond between parent and child. What fuels my fire? Hello, I’m Katelyn Kleiber, and I’m passionate about empowering families on their breastfeeding journey. As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Registered Lactation Consultant (RLC), I’ve dedicated my career to supporting new parents and their little ones. I took a unique path to becoming an IBCLC. Unlike many others, I started working in lactation before experiencing my own breastfeeding journey. But my fascination with a woman’s incredible ability to grow and sustain life has been with me since childhood. This lifelong passion for women’s health led me to explore various avenues within the field. Then came my “aha” moment: lactation. I realized there was a significant gap in support for postpartum families, and I felt drawn to fill it. Guided by this newfound purpose, I embarked on my journey as a lactation consultant. Since July 2022, I’ve officially held the title of IBCLC. However, my journey began earlier—back in December 2021—when I worked with clients as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS) and intern. These experiences shaped my approach to lactation support. I firmly believe that our bodies and beings are interconnected. When working with families, I consider both mother and baby as part of a system. It’s essential to address complications on both sides. But my philosophy extends beyond medical care. I create realistic, sustainable plans that preserve positive relationships around feedings. Breastfeeding isn’t just about nutrition; it’s a beautiful dance between two souls. I encourage laid-back breastfeeding, allowing families to feed without cumbersome nursing pillows. Babies can use their reflexes to their advantage, making feeding a more natural experience. At Bayou City Breastfeeding, we’ve designed a care model that allows us to continue supporting families over weeks, months, or even years. These meaningful relationships are incredibly special. Witnessing progress and positive changes during our journey together fills me with joy. Breastfeeding success isn’t a solo endeavor. Families—partners, grandparents, and all—are crucial. Their support eases the transition into life with a newborn. Together, we create a nurturing environment where everyone plays a vital role. Every family is unique. I take the time to understand their goals, challenges, and dreams. Whether it’s baby-led latch, side-lying bottle feeding, or other techniques, I tailor my recommendations to fit their specific situation. Realistic, doable plans ensure families thrive. Breastfeeding can be overwhelming. When mothers feel uncertain or stressed, I work collaborativel with the mother to identify stressors and create a personalized strategy to minimize discomfort. We’re a team, supporting each other through the ups and downs. When I’m not helping families, you’ll find me exploring the world. Traveling allows me to learn from different cultures and connect with people. I’m an avid reader, diving into books that expand my horizons. And nature—oh, how it rejuvenates my soul! Whether hiking through lush forests or strolling along sandy shores, I find solace in the great outdoors

Hello! I'm Miranda Perotti, a dedicated IBCLC, BSN, RN. As a lactation consultant, I've embarked on a journey fueled by my passion for supporting breastfeeding families and empowering them to achieve their feeding goals. With a background in nursing from Abilene Christian University, I bring nine years of invaluable experience in the Women's Health field, evolving from a labor and delivery nurse to an IVF nurse coordinator, and finally finding my calling as a lactation consultant after the birth of my first daughter. My journey into lactation consulting was inspired by the incredible support I received from my own IBCLC during my breastfeeding journey. Facing numerous challenges early on, her knowledge and guidance were pivotal in helping me navigate through the hurdles. Now, I'm driven by the desire to pay it forward and assist other families in their feeding journeys with the same level of care and expertise that I received. With a holistic approach to lactation support, I believe in the power of knowledge and support above all else. Less is more, and I strive to empower families with the confidence and skills they need to succeed without relying on unnecessary accessories or interventions. What I find most rewarding about supporting breastfeeding families is witnessing the joy and fulfillment when they meet or exceed their original feeding goals. I tailor my support to meet the unique needs and preferences of each family. By understanding their daily life, work, cultural practices, and family dynamics, I develop personalized plans that are realistic and achievable. When mothers feel uncertain or overwhelmed about breastfeeding, I offer a compassionate ear and work collaboratively to navigate through the challenges. I often recommend the Koala hold, laid-back feeding, or biologic nursing, as I've seen firsthand how these approaches can facilitate efficient feeding even in the face of early difficulties. Drawing from my own breastfeeding journey, which included experiences with preterm birth, a NICU stay, oral restrictions, and feeding success despite the hurdles, I offer reassurance and support to parents, reminding them that their current struggles are temporary and that brighter days lie ahead. Outside of my professional role, I find solace and rejuvenation in outdoor activities like gardening, camping, and hiking. I also love to try new foods! Join me on this transformative journey, where together, we can navigate through the challenges and celebrate the triumphs of breastfeeding parenthood!

Welcome to my corner of the internet! I'm Brandy, a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a passion for helping mothers and babies on their breastfeeding journey. My career in nursing began in 2006, where I initially found my calling in the labor and delivery unit. Witnessing the miracle of new life and being a part of that special moment filled me with joy and purpose. However, it was my personal experience with breastfeeding challenges that truly ignited my passion for lactation and breastfeeding support. As a mother myself, I faced hurdles and uncertainties in my breastfeeding journey that led me to dive headfirst into the world of lactation science and support. This transformative experience sparked a desire to empower and guide other mothers through their own breastfeeding challenges. Becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in January 2018 was a pivotal step in my journey, solidifying my commitment to providing evidence-based care and guidance. In late 2020, I made the decision to transition full-time into private practice, allowing me to dedicate my expertise exclusively to supporting mothers and babies in their breastfeeding endeavors. With years of hands-on experience in labor and delivery, coupled with my specialized training as an IBCLC, I bring a unique blend of medical expertise and compassionate care to every interaction. I understand the physical and emotional aspects of breastfeeding, and I am committed to providing personalized guidance tailored to each mother's individual needs. When I'm not assisting mothers and babies, my faith and family keep me grounded. I'm a proud wife and mother of two wonderful sons. My own family experiences have deepened my understanding of the complexities of parenthood and the importance of a strong support system. Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to being a part of your breastfeeding adventure.❤️

Hello! I'm Tania Nuezca, and one of my passions is supporting families through their incredible journey of parenthood, particularly in the realms of childbirth education and lactation support. I would like to share my background and a little bit about myself. With over a decade of experience as a childbirth educator, I've dedicated myself to helping families navigate the exciting yet challenging transition into parenthood. Along the way, I've taken additional classes to hone my skills, delving into topics like spinning babies, rebozo use during pregnancy and labor, bengkung belly binding, and neonatal resuscitation. It's all part of my commitment to offering comprehensive support to families during this transformative time. Based in Humble, Atascocita, and Kingwood, I'm here for families in these areas and also travel out to Houston to support families, offering both in-person and virtual visits. Whether it's convenient for you to have a home, office, or virtual consultation, I'm here to provide the guidance and support families need. Beyond my childbirth education background, I'm an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). My journey to becoming an IBCLC was inspired by my own experiences struggling with breastfeeding my three children. Through my own challenges, I developed a deep empathy for families facing similar struggles and a strong desire to provide them with the support they need from the very beginning. With a holistic approach to lactation support, I believe in addressing the needs of the whole person. I find immense reward in helping families feel empowered and confident in their feeding choices, knowing that they have the knowledge and support to nurture their little ones. Outside of my professional role, I cherish spending time with my family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and embarking on adventures. One of my biggest passions is learning sign language for my two deaf children and to support the broader D/deaf community, from pregnancy to lactation. My current skill level is conversational sign but am working on fluency and medical terminology. When it comes to supporting breastfeeding families, I recognize the importance of involving other family members, such as partners and grandparents, in the journey. Their support is invaluable in bolstering parents' confidence and empowerment. As a mom of two children with a rare genetic condition, I've spent many hours researching. I also use this determination when supporting new families. I enjoy researching to find the right answer for you. I tailor my support to meet the unique needs and preferences of each family by starting with open communication and truly listening to their concerns. When a mother is feeling uncertain or overwhelmed about breastfeeding, I provide a compassionate ear and work with them to develop a plan that aligns with their wishes and makes them feel empowered. I often recommend techniques like baby-led latch and laid-back breastfeeding, as I've seen firsthand how these methods can help babies achieve a successful latch and make the breastfeeding journey smoother for both parents and infants. In essence, I'm here to offer compassionate, personalized support to families as they embark on the extraordinary adventure of parenthood. If you're in need of guidance or encouragement along the way, I'm just a message away. Let's navigate this journey together!

Hi! I'm Ali and am happy to meet you! Drawing from my own personal encounters with breastfeeding, I've poured my heart into guiding mamas like you. As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), I can't emphasize enough the importance of understanding and support during this journey. When I think about my four kiddos and the challenges I faced with tongue and lip ties, it fills me with a fiery passion to make sure no momma feels alone in her breastfeeding quest. Embracing a holistic perspective, I firmly believe that the magic lies in wholehearted guidance, not just ticking off checklists. Having had the privilege of serving as a Mother/Baby nurse at St. Luke's the Woodlands Hospital and being a part of the amazing Texas Children’s Hospital team in the Houston Medical Center, I've witnessed the immense strength and resilience of mothers and their babies. Whether it's the NICU or an outpatient clinic, every mom and babe have a unique story, and I cherish being a part of it. Always learning, always growing, I'm active with the Houston Area Lactation Consultants and Educators Association (HALCEA), because there’s always something new on the horizon. But let me tell you, nothing compares to the joy of seeing new mothers discover their strength, trusting their instincts, and flourishing in their breastfeeding goals. When I’m not in my professional shoes, I’m fully immersed in the joy of homeschooling my children and being active in our church community. And speaking of communities, BCB feels like home. The kind of warmth and support I've felt here, especially during some challenging times, is what you'd expect from close-knit family. Working with clients and building relationships with some of the finest providers has been the cherry on top. So, let's do this together, y'all! Lean on my experience, my holistic approach, and my genuine wish to see you thrive in your breastfeeding journey. Here’s to new adventures and creating cherished memories! 💙
