Hi, I’m Carrie-Lee! I grew up in a house full of chaos and kids. I'm one of nine siblings, with a mom who ran a home daycare for 30+ years and a sister who is also a nanny. So, caregiving isn’t just what I do, it’s pretty much woven into my DNA! Between that and raising my own three kids, supporting families has always felt like second nature. My oldest is up in Maine, working on building his yurt and achieving the off-grid dream. My middle kid is a Junior at Keene State, fully immersed in the world of theater tech, making sure the show always goes on! And my youngest is a vocalist who will be attending Berklee College of Music this fall. Raising them has been the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done—and proof that every kid comes into this world with their own wild, wonderful personality. From an early age, Rophe was drawn to birth work and the beauty of the experience. Melissa’s earliest memory of delighting in the birth process was as a child visiting the Science Museum. She remembers watching videos, one of a mother dancing in her labor room, another surrounded by her young family, while another escaped into a birthing pool to focus inwardly. It was not until Melissa became a mother herself that she realized just how empowering the birth space can be.
