Hello Everyone! My name is Karen Wong, and I am an experienced nanny and house manager based in northern NJ. I am passionate about caring for young families. I have extensive experience with children from infancy onwards. I am well versed in both western and traditional Chinese methods of postpartum care for both baby and mom. I aim to create a steady and supportive environment where mothers and babies thrive together. In my free time, I love new experiences, travel, and delicious food!

Karen has watched all three of my babies, and I recommend her highly. She just “gets” babies. When I was a first-time mom, I learned so much just from watching her. I have seen her soothe my screaming babies and calm them like magic. She is very detail oriented and meticulous with directions. I always slept better knowing she was taking care of my children. If your baby is slightly older, she also cooks fresh baby food. As a bonus, she will always leave your house as clean (or much cleaner) than when she came in!

Hey there, I’m Kelley Nazarian and I grew up in Montclair, New Jersey. Currently, I reside in Bloomfield, New Jersey with my husband, two children, and our dog. I hold a Bachelors's degree from William Paterson University. I am a certified Postpartum ProDoula, an Infant Feeding Specialist, and a Reiki healer. I carry insurance and I am CPR-certified. As a postpartum doula and a mother myself, my focus is on getting to know my clients well so I can offer the best birth and after-birth services possible for both first-time moms and those who are having their second or third child. Each pregnancy is different. Some moms recover real quick, some moms need time to recover and recharge. This is where I come in. I help my clients build their own toolbox in order to support the value system of their families. I like to start this process during the pre-natal period to make for a smooth transition once the postpartum period has arrived. I offer postpartum support both virtually and in person. I also offer various packages to support all kinds of families and accommodate different needs. I teach Newborn Care classes. I offer bone broth deliveries for new mothers who are replenishing themselves from birth. Lastly, I also support families in times of bereavement and are grieving a loss in any capacity.

Before I went to Jade's childbirth class at Montclair BABY, I had never heard of a doula. Her class was holistic of all the options during labor and delivery, and my husband and I felt like Jade could be the perfect support person to ease my anxiety during pregnancy and labor. We were absolutely right. Jade offered continuous comfort and information for me throughout my pregnancy. She is extremely knowledgeable and thorough and gave advice for things I hadn't even considered. Being someone who has always been terrified of childbirth, Jade eased my anxiety leaps and bounds. We prepared for it beforehand, but once I went into labor, Jade supported us over the phone and at my home before we went to the hospital. My birth went from something that I used to fear, to something I now look back on with fond memories (I think that's a wild transformation) and I truly credit a lot of that to Jade. She was an advocate for me at the hospital, she rarely left my side except when I needed alone time with my husband, and she encouraged me. She worked cooperatively with the rest of the birth team. Dare I say birth was actually a little fun? I whole heartedly recommend Jade as a doula and would love to have her at my future births. There really aren't enough words to describe how grateful I am for her.

When I had my "Little Prince" (Finn), and became involved in the birth world, I realized that I found a calling! Working with families through their pregnancies, and helping them embrace the new phase of life after birth, brings me much joy and satisfaction. I have a creative side, with a passion for photography. I also have a love for travel and exploring the outdoors. My experiences with my boys have made me attune to the struggles one can endure in pregnancy, birth, and the post-partum period. I am a researcher at heart and am extremely resourceful. If I don’t know an answer, I am confident that with some time and research I can come back to a situation with various angles and options to help families navigate this new and exciting time in their lives. I look forward to being a part of your journey!

We called Erica when we were extremely desperate with our colicky newborn. We needed help not only medically but also mentally and emotionally. Erica came to our house and explained to us everything pertaining breastfeeding, checked our baby and took her time to explain to us a lot of things we needed to know. As first time parents, the birth of a child is a difficult journey, but Erica was patient, caring, and answered every one of our questions with easy to understand language and walked us through how to navigate our new life. When Erica left our house, we had peace of mind, we felt understood, cared for, and our burden stopped being so heavy. She was the first person (even before her pediatrician) to suggest that our forever crying baby had reflux, and from that day on we were able to treat her accordingly. I cannot recommend Erica enough, the only thing I regret, is not having called her sooner.

I have been an IBCLC since 2007 offering both virtual and in-home visits to families for prenatal and postnatal infant feeding and lactation support. I help parents with a wide variety of topics in lactation and infant feeding. Some include preparing for lactation and infant feeding, returning to work, pumping and flange fitting, low milk supply, oversupply, oral function, oral restrictions, difficulty latching or feeding, positioning, introducing bottles, starting solids, nighttime nursing, weaning, and more. I have taken several advanced skills training in the areas of oral function, latching & positioning, and gut health. No question is too small or too big. I aim to support each dyad and each family in the way that makes them feel most supported and reach their infant feeding and lactation goals.

Although I didn’t know it then, my journey towards becoming a doula began nearly 15 years ago with the birth of my first child. My labor and birth experience was far from empowering and while I was overjoyed to have my son, I always wished things had gone differently- that I had been listened to when I tried to assert myself, that I had been given alternative pain management options when I said I didn’t want an epidural, that the nurses and doctors had explained what they were doing and given me choices before just going ahead and doing it. I always wished that I had felt more in control in that delivery room. Flash forward 14 years to the birth of my second child, and things went exactly as I could have hoped for largely in part due to the team of amazing people I chose to surround myself with. I switched to a Midwife group that took the time to listen to me and honor all of my wishes; I chose a birthing center where I knew I would have plenty of options, but still have the safety and security of a hospital and NICU nearby should something go wrong; and I hired my doula! She made me feel safe, secure, listened to, and protected. She was there as my advocate (though I never had to use her as such because my Midwife was so amazing), she was there as a shoulder to lean on, and she made sure my wife and I had all that we needed during my labor and the birth of my daughter. Between kiddo number one and kiddo number two, a lot happened- 14 years worth of happenings! During that time in-between, I owned and operated Bloom Yoga Fitness Studios in Southington, CT. I taught thousands of hours of yoga- hundreds of them to pregnant clients. And I also became a Licensed Massage Therapist certified in Pregnancy Massage. My personal birth experiences, my decade of yoga teaching, my time as a massage therapist all led me to where I am today. I am now a Birth Doula working with clients in Hartford, New Haven and Middlesex counties. I still teach yoga and perform massage and you’ll see many of my doula offerings include yoga, meditation, and massage. I am passionate about birthing people making informed choices that feel right for them and it’s an honor to standby my clients as they take the amazing journey that is labor and birth.

I'll start by saying I interviewed at least a half dozen doulas and Bethany was the only one I felt a true connection with. She was so easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and comforting just from our first conversation. My goal was an unmedicated hospital birth, and she helped me feel so prepared and capable during our journey from the home visits to the hospital and all the texts in between. She's a plethora of knowledge and resources! She was awesome about checking in and always keeping an open line of communication and encouraging questions (which I had a lot of random ones along the way as a first time mom). My hospital birth couldn't have gone better - she was there before the doc rooting me on and advocating on my behalf throughout the prices. Our post partum visit was the therapy session I needed. I am so thankful for Bethany and her services. She does incredible work and was meant for her role! Vivian, Jason and I thank you!!

I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible support I received from my birth and postpartum doula, Kei. From my third trimester all the way through labor and the first four weeks postpartum, Kei was a constant source of guidance, comfort, and strength. Kei provided me with an abundance of resources, including recipes, guides, exercises, and daily affirmations, which were invaluable during my pregnancy. She was instrumental in helping me stick to my birthing plan, yet was flexible and adaptive when changes were necessary during labor and delivery. One of the many thoughtful gestures Kei made was gifting me a birth exercise ball and warm compresses for breastfeeding. Her knowledge on breastfeeding and pumping was extensive; she not only educated me on the process but also made me a special lactation tea that significantly helped increase my milk production. Her hands-on approach in showing me how to breastfeed, along with tips for storage, was incredibly reassuring for a first-time mom like me. Kei's expertise didn't stop there. She helped our baby accept a pacifier, something we struggled with on our own, and showed us various tools and techniques to soothe our baby during those tough middle-of-the-night crying spells. Her 24/7 availability was a lifeline, especially when I experienced Braxton Hicks contractions and needed reassurance. During labor, Kei's support was unwavering. She stayed with me for over 24 hours in the hospital, ensuring I never lacked anything, whether it was physical comfort or emotional encouragement. Kei's presence gave me the confidence and strength I needed to navigate this new chapter of my life. I left this experience not just with a supportive doula but with a life-long friend. I wholeheartedly recommend Kei's doula services to anyone seeking comprehensive prenatal and postpartum support. Her dedication, compassion, and expertise are unmatched. Thank you, Kei, for being an indispensable part of my journey into motherhood.

Aliya is amazing! She helped me write my birth plan, offered different things I didn’t even know I wanted and schooled both me and my partner on things we had no knowledge about. She made me feel more confident going into my induction. (Babygirl didn’t wanna come out) She was there for basically the whole thing. She supported me in ways I can’t thank her enough for. She made sure all my needs were met and the doctors were doing exactly what I asked. I truly don’t know what I would’ve done without her.
