We have 60 mins for new patient visits and 30 min for return patients- this is for both GYN and pregnancy visits. This extra time allows you to have all your questions and concerns addressed without feeling the pressure of an overly booked provider. I attend births at Missouri Baptist Medical Center and have a fabulous collaborating OBGYN for any patients with complications out of my scope of practice or those needing surgical intervention. I’m blessed with a wonderful, supportive husband, five amazing kids, and a few adorable grandchildren. My happiest moments are spent with my family—whether we’re going out to eat, enjoying a good movie together, or dancing the night away. For many years, I found myself in labor and delivery rooms, supporting family members, friends, and even friends of friends. Sometimes, people assumed I was there to translate, but most of the time, I was simply there to help and offer comfort. It became such a natural role for me that people began asking how long I’d been a nurse. Though I’m not a nurse, I realized how much I love helping others during such a monumental time in their lives. My name is Stephanie Smith, I am a LPN and IBCLC- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I live with my family on our farm near Marshall Junction, where we raise chickens, ducks and emu (yes, Emu, feel free to ask me why!) and a bunch of farm cats. Professionally, I’ve been a nurse for 20 years, working in OB/GYN for the past 14 years. I became a Certified Lactation Counselor in 2016 and then continued my education to earn my IBCLC in 2025. My experience is in both hospital postpartum and outpatient clinic, caring for moms and babies throughout the first year and beyond.
