My degree is in Human Development and Family Science. I have enjoyed working with kiddos in childcare facilities for 5+ years as well as being a nanny to a few wonderful families. I believe that every family should be supported and informed to make the best decisions for their little ones. My name is Orion Clements, the forerunner of Clements Doula Services, and I’m a Madriella Certified Birth Doula serving the DFW area. I decided to become a doula early in 2024 after realizing how much I wanted a career in helping others during some of the most vulnerable times of their lives. I believe in a God that creates peace and order, and wanted to be someone who could embody that for others. Funny enough, shortly after deciding to pursue this career, I found out I was pregnant with my son! Going through that experience, along with training I think really shaped my own doula philosophy. To me, it doesn’t matter if you desire a medicated or natural birth, or even if things don’t go exactly as planned. What matters to me as your doula is if YOU feel empowered, educated, and as supported as possible during this experience. My name is Jordan Towns and I have served the role as an Emotional Support Coach/Companion for over two decades to women and men encountering a full range of life encounters. It was in Spring 2023 that my journey to become a Doula was initiated and what a journey indeed it has been. Marked by my strong ancestral roots and divine gifting coupled with an experience that allowed me to grow deeper in tune with my body as a woman and what it means to be empowered and supported in my connection to it, I moved to become a Birth Doula and completed my formal training with Doulas of North America International in the “Art of Labor Support.” Now I have the honor of providing continuous, culturally appropriate support, non-medical advice, and physical comfort coaching to women and their partners during pregnancy, the birth ceremony, and the adjustment period after. It is this support that is critical to counter systemic medical racism and socioeconomic barriers that families face. I am currently offering to women who would like to birth at home donation-based services.
