About Jordan

My name is Jordan Towns and I have served the role as an Emotional Support Coach/Companion for over two decades to women and men encountering a full range of life encounters. It was in Spring 2023 that my journey to become a Doula was initiated and what a journey indeed it has been. Marked by my strong ancestral roots and divine gifting coupled with an experience that allowed me to grow deeper in tune with my body as a woman and what it means to be empowered and supported in my connection to it, I moved to become a Birth Doula and completed my formal training with Doulas of North America International in the “Art of Labor Support.” Now I have the honor of providing continuous, culturally appropriate support, non-medical advice, and physical comfort coaching to women and their partners during pregnancy, the birth ceremony, and the adjustment period after. It is this support that is critical to counter systemic medical racism and socioeconomic barriers that families face. I am currently offering to women who would like to birth at home donation-based services.

60 minute Consultation

At Free Woman Birthing Services we have an open-door policy and encourage you to ask all the questions. During the consultation, we can discuss your personal goals for pregnancy, labor, and delivery, as well as postpartum care. We will discuss payment details more in-depth during our consultation and I am happy to answer more questions if any! I believe doula care should be accessible to all. If you are in need of additional assistance, please contact me directly and we can discuss an arrangement that works for you. Labor and Delivery Service is a game time package with a heads-down rooted in presence, guided by physiology, and centered on you, approach. Extremely dependable and lends a great amount of stability to a you, your support system, and delivery. I am dedicated to advancing, in a physiological way than an intrusive one. My goal is not to direct your birth — but to walk alongside you, helping you feel confident, supported, and heard.

Why are hospital births more than birthing centers/ home births?

At Free Woman we do everything we can to liberate and empower women in their authentic agency. Specializing in creating space for that agency to flourish. Due to the systemic regulations mandated in hospitals higher levels of intervention and advocacy are required. Additional we believe that woman who desire to birth with less interventions in birthing centers or their homes should be able to receive the support.
