Jordan Towns

My name is Jordan Towns and I have served the role as an Emotional Support Coach/Companion for over two decades to women and men encountering a full range of life encounters. It was in Spring 2023 that my journey to become a Doula was initiated and what a journey indeed it has been. Marked by my strong ancestral roots and divine gifting coupled with an experience that allowed me to grow deeper in tune with my body as a woman and what it means to be empowered and supported in my connection to it, I moved to become a Birth Doula and completed my formal training with Doulas of North America International in the “Art of Labor Support.” Now I have the honor of providing continuous, culturally appropriate support, non-medical advice, and physical comfort coaching to women and their partners during pregnancy, the birth ceremony, and the adjustment period after. It is this support that is critical to counter systemic medical racism and socioeconomic barriers that families face. I am currently offering to women who would like to birth at home donation-based services.

Jordan was an absolute amazing support person. She listened to what my wants and needs were. Jordan was open and understanding of my wants and through conversations she recalled details I mentioned. She reassured me as I was going through the labor process and even made me feel extremely comfortable and confident. I honestly can’t say enough about her to describe how amazing she was and how smooth she made the process. Very professional and at the same time humble. I highly recommend her! 100/10

Shannon Sappington

Hi! My name is Shannon Sappington and I am the owner of Serving Hands Doula! I have been a doula since 2016, providing personalized support and care to my clients during their pregnancy, labor and birth! Before becoming a certified Labor Doula, I achieved a Masters degree in Counseling as well as a teaching certificate in elementary education. My educational background and experiences enhance my abilities as a labor doula. I have a nurturing and compassionate spirt and I believe that the best tools I bring into every birth are my heart, my hands and my voice. My goals are to equip you to be ready mentally, physically and emotionally, and to serve you during the journey of your pregnancy, labor and the birth of your baby. Besides being a doula, I love doing life with my husband, our four kids and three dogs! We are an adoptive family - so my husband and I have 3 biological children and 1 through adoption. We love Jesus, laughing, cracking jokes, eating Chinese food, going on trips and also relaxing at home watching a movie. I try to not take life for granted and enjoy the big and the small moments of everyday life. God is my life breath and He is woven all throughout my story.

Shannon is amazing!!!! We loved having her as our doula. She helped both my husband and I through my pregnancy and my very long and hard labor. I set out to have a home birth, but ended up transferring to the hospital and she was there every step of the way. She helped me with my very hard back labor and was just the support my husband and I needed. We will definitely be hiring her again with our next baby!!

From the baby who is struggling to settle, to the parent running on empty, to the small details no one else has time to think about, I bring experience, confidence, and a listening ear. I provide a combination of newborn care and postpartum support, whether during the day, overnight, or both. My care is practical, intuitive, and grounded in evidence-based practice. Whether I'm caring for your baby through the night, helping establish healthy sleep habits, or managing a few household tasks while you rest, my presence is intentional and my care is always tailored to your family’s needs. What sets me apart is not just experience. It is the ability to assess a situation, respond with purpose, and care for the family as a whole. I understand what recovery actually looks like. I understand what newborns need. And I know how to bring relief and routine into a home that feels stretched thin. My goal is to leave families feeling confident and capable without the guesswork. In 2024, we were expecting our first child. I was truly nervous as I did not have my mother close to assist me, as a new mom. My sister-in-law gifted me with a doula service. She was very thorough in her research to get me the best help possible so that I will not have to be sad about my mother not being able to make it. So glad she landed onto Nelago’s profile. Nelago took care of our newborn baby like her own. We could not get the baby to calm down but Nelago just had the sweet spirit that our baby would fall asleep in her arms. She knew how to burp her and feed her. All the things we struggled with on our own. If it weren’t for Nelago’s help, I do not know how I would have managed honestly. She gave us the opportunity to have a full night's rest, something newborns do not allow their parents to have. Our baby was thriving under her care. Even after our baby transitioned to eating solids, she would still be helping out with meal plans for her. Nelago is an amazing person I know I can trust my baby and babies to come any day. We nicknamed her “The Baby Whisperer” because of how she just knows how to love and calm babies. She is the best!!!

We hired Shannon as our doula to help with the birth. She was good about communicating with us beforehand, and had answers for all of our questions. She helped empower me during my labor and pushing, and I appreciated having her there to support, guide, and comfort me through that time. Once I had given birth, she taught me how to nurse my baby. I was glad to have such a supportive woman at my side through it all. She also took a lot of pressure off of my husband by comforting and encouraging me (since he didn’t quite know how to help me at that time), which we very much appreciated. Overall, it was a good experience.

Mozeke was the sweetest midwife. Better than I could have hoped for. She took us on late in my pregnancy after I decided against a hospital birth and made the process so easy and beautiful!

Being a first time mom and living away from family it was very important to have some support my first few weeks of being home with my newborn. As soon as I met Carmen I immediately knew she would be a good fit for my postpartum doula! She was friendly, welcoming, and supportive. During the night I felt comfortable and at ease with her taking care of our newborn and my husband and I getting much needed rest and our little one as well. Thank you Carmen for your support the first few weeks, don’t know what we would’ve done!

October 2026

With our first baby we did not have a doula and the second time around I knew I needed one. Keeley supported me from the beginning. She would check up on me and just be there when I needed some reassurance. When I needed a medical procedure early in pregnancy she offered be there. She went above and beyond even before I was in my last trimester. When I had to be induced she showed up for me even before active labor even started because I was having anxiety and she could sense I needed the support, she arrived before midnight and stayed with us until after delivery which wasn’t until 5 pm. She supported my wants and need for this labor process and she wasn’t afraid to be my advocate with the nurse and doctors. She was always very professional. She made the labor and delivery process a whole lot less stressful. Even my husband said this was completely different than our first and it was the best choice we made. If you are looking for a doula Keeley is your person. She will be there to support you to advocate for you and she will always show up for you. I couldn’t ask for a better person(doula) to be there.
