Melanie Guymon is a superb doula. She spent nights with our little bub for 2+months, she gave us a reprieve and support during the difficult newborn days hard. We had a colicky baby and Melanie not only helped us advocate to our doctors that our baby might have reflux, but she also gave us superb tips on how to help ease her discomfort at night and during the day.  During her time with us Melanie also helped us prepare our baby to move out of the swaddle, and due to her tips, our baby seamlessly transitioned from her Snoo + bassinet and into her crib and a sleep sack. She continued to support us with sleep coaching as well, helping us with our babies sleep schedule, which has allowed our baby to sleep better than all of our other baby friends in a similar age range. We had Melanie start with us around the 6 week mark due to our postpartum schedule, and she was with us until just under 4 months. We could not have done this journey without her.

Choosing a doula was an unknown for us, but from the moment we started our interview process with Maggie, we were immediately put at ease. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Betsy!! I found Betsy in my late second trimester and immediately felt like she was the perfect fit for my first childbirth experience. I had no idea what to expect from the experience, but I really wanted someone in the delivery room who was familiar with my needs and who could both help me with the birthing process and could help advocate for my wishes and priorities in the hospital environment. As a medical student, I both know way too much about everything that can go wrong in childbirth and came to the experience with a lot of anxiety. Betsy did an amazing job of helping me navigate my feelings and eased my many many worries throughout my pregnancy without ever making me feel like a burden. When my labor began, Betsy was available and ready for whatever I needed. While my labor looked absolutely nothing like I had prepared for, and the plan was very quickly abandoned, Betsy easily met the challenges of the new situation and provided tremendous support. We can't say enough wonderful things about Jaya! She was a wonderful addition to our birth team and made both pregnancy and labor a comfortable and safe experience. Throughout pregnancy, Jaya was a great communicator. Seeing my wife so proud of herself and empowered by her own strength was life changing. Dana didn't just support the birth, she supported our whole family. absolutely amazing experience. having Sage(and tec) as my supports meant the world to me. I felt safe and supported, they helped me hold my boundaries with hospital staff, they helped me have the birth I wanted to have with my firstborn. it was a very healing process, and I feel so blessed to have had both of them in my journey. had I not had their support, my birth would have ended up very dramatically different, and there is a possibility I would have decided against another pregnancy.
