I had such an amazing experience with my doula during the birth of my baby. She was supportive, patient, and truly cared about me and my baby every step of the way. One moment that really meant a lot to me was after delivery when I was having trouble getting my baby to latch. I started to feel frustrated and overwhelmed, but she didn’t rush off or leave me to figure it out alone.
She stayed right there with me, gently guiding me and giving me tips until I was finally able to get him to latch successfully. Her patience and encouragement made such a difference in that moment and helped me feel more confident instead of discouraged.

Such a great experience working with Janice! We just welcomed our first baby in late December, and having Janice by our side made all the difference, especially since I was nervous about labor and everything that comes with it. From the birthing classes that helped ease my fears and build my confidence, to our one-on-one Zoom calls where she patiently answered every question and taught me calming techniques like breathing exercises and visualization, to her steady encouragement and support right there through delivery, to the thoughtful postpartum check-ins afterward, Janice was absolutely amazing! Plus, as a military family on Tricare, she handled all the Childbirth and Breastfeeding Support Demonstration details effortlessly so we could focus purely on birth without any added stress. Janice was so valuable and helpful during my entire pregnancy and delivery. She answered every question promptly and made me feel so comfortable and important and validated. I couldn’t have had as great of a pregnancy and birth experience without her. I was able to labor at home comfortably and get to the hospital at a 5-6 cm completely confidently because of her expertise and advice. I had my daughter within 3 hours of getting to the hospital, it was perfect. She even advised my mom of when to come to my bedside and comfort me and helped provide information on what was happening while also advocating my choices from my birth plan. Janice was absolutely incredible leading up to, during, and after my birth experience. I felt that we connected from our first meeting and by the time she came to the hospital when I was in labor I instantly felt comfortable around her. Birth is the most vulnerable version of yourself, and Janice not only made me feel comfortable, safe, and heard, but was also constantly encouraging me and empowering me while simultaneously allowing my husband to be my front and center support person. She helped me advocate for myself and also asked things of the nurses that never were on mine or my husband’s radar, but improved our experience immensely. She stayed with us after the birth of our son for the first two hours to make sure everything was going smoothly, and by the end we all were talking like we’ve known each other forever rather than weeks. My husband equally sings her praises and said he felt he could be present with me rather than worrying about the medical aspects of the birth because she helped make that possible. I could not recommend Janice more for all of the services she offers, and know without a doubt I don’t ever want to bring a baby into this world without her as a part of our birth experience.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Janice! I was able to get Janice about halfway through my pregnancy after fighting tooth and toenail to get a doula that my insurance agreed to cover. I got passed around and dismissed time and time again. Janice stepped up to help resolve things and in doing so she realized that during my due date she was free if I would like her to be my doula, which I thought was amazing. She was always quick to answer any of my questions, gave me plenty of knowledge about pregnancy, and what to expect. I contacted her the day I lost my mucus plug and she used her doula senses to determine she was pretty sure we were having a baby tonight. I myself wasn't even so sure because the midwives had dismissed it and didn't seem concerned. Janice came to our house fairly early into my spaced out contractions to offer support and guidance. She gave me positions to get in to help labor progress. Next thing I know my water breaks and I call the midwives to let them knew. Our baby decided he was going to come rushing into the world before the midwives got there so Janice gave my husband the support he needed to safely deliver our baby. Thank God Janice came because had she not used her doula senses we wouldn't have known what to do. I was able to have a natural unmedicated birth without tearing thanks to her assistance. I can not thank her enough for such a beautiful experience. It's going to make an awesome story to tell our son someday!

We had an amazing experience working with Janice as our doula! We first met her at New Birth Center in Overland Park, Kansas, where we attended several of her birth classes. Those classes really prepared us for the big day.
When we went into labor, we headed to the birth center but weren’t dilated enough to be admitted. Janice immediately stepped in, guiding my partner on how to support me and suggesting different positions to help me dilate. Thanks to her expertise, we were soon admitted.
Janice was invaluable during labor, helping us navigate decisions and advocating for our goals. It’s incredibly challenging to make the right choices for yourself and your baby in the moment, but Janice was there every step of the way. Her care and support during my natural birth were beyond what we could have hoped for.

I want to give a well deserved 5 stars to Janice for the support she gave me during my pregnancy and delivery. As a first time mom it was really important for me to get extra support especially before and during my delivery.
We were able to meet via zoom twice before my delivery. We talked about what my concerns were. She also provided education on prenatal topics.
During delivery she was super helpful when a nurse decided to continue to increase pitocin when it wasn't helping me. She stood her ground advocated for me when I wasn't able to.
I would recommend Janice to anyone who was considering a doula. Her support got me through one of the toughest things I've ever done physically and emotionally.
