As first time parents, our biggest priority was receiving culturally competent care as well as an advocate for dad in critical moments that may come up during labor. We luckily stumbled upon Laura’s profile and decided to give our doula search one last shot and we are so glad we did. From the first moments in the initial interview, we got such good vibes from Laura and could really feel her passion for supporting moms and birthing parents. What sealed the deal for us was her awareness and sensitivity to the black maternal mortality rate, her privilege, and how she could (and did!) show up for me as a black woman giving birth. My labor and delivery was literally a dream come true and was so perfect and my husband agrees it was 100% thanks to the education we received as well as the support and advocacy received from Laura. I likely would have had a different experience if Laura had not been there and will absolutely be reaching out to her for availability if we decide to have another child. Long story short, Laura is so passionate about birth work and went above and beyond from our first meetings through postpartum and if you are debating on if a doula is worth it , please don’t hesitate to reach out to Laura because I promise you won’t regret it

I found Laura on Facebook advertising her doula services. I knew I wanted her from our meeting. She worked with my husband and I on making payments, and never treated us like she was in a hurry or wouldn't take care of things we needed. She gave us a ton of support during our birth and after. I would recommend her to any of my friends, for sure!

My wife and I booked the birth doula package with Laura and it was easily one of the best investments we made. She helped me know what to do to support my wife, made sure I had a break, and gave us so much knowledge we didn't have before we had our baby. I would never want anyone else to be my doula now.
