Hi, I’m Siedah Israel, a Certified Labor Doula, Holistic Wellness Practitioner, and Certified Herbalist based in Fredericksburg in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. I’m a wife of 15 years and a homeschooling mother of five. My wellness and birth advocacy journey began with earning a certificate in Massage Therapy from Eastern Virginia Career College in 2018. I later completed my Doula Certification through Germanna Community College in 2024 and graduated with honors in Herbal Studies from the American College of Healthcare Sciences in 2025. I am currently in Phase I of the PEP process as I work toward becoming a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM). I have extensive experience supporting families through hospital births, birth center births, and home births. Personally, I have experienced three hospital births and two home births, which deeply informs the care, perspective, and support I offer to the families I serve. When I’m not supporting families, I enjoy homeschooling, spending time outdoors with my children, writing poetry, working on my werewolf novel, and handcrafting natural hair and skincare products. It is a true honor to walk alongside families with compassion, cultural awareness, and grounded support during such a sacred season of life.

I truly do not know what I would have done without Siedah, and I believe I amucky to have found her for my second birth. As someone who has gone through a traumatic birth experience my first pregnancy, I knew I needed some additional support outside of my husband. But, let's talk about the process even before birth. Months before giving birth, Siedah reminded me and helped me re-process my trauma. Made me really think about how I wanted things to go this time around. To make me confident as well in asking questions about my care and babies care. I feel like that was a huge part in the success of my second birth experience. Fast forward to the actual birth, Siedah asked all the healthcare staff the right questions, or had them re-explain what was going on. I did have to be induced as I had pre-eclampsia. Everything went so smooth, it was exactly how I imagined it. Not to mention how fast it all went too! Siedah has such a big heart, and you can tell she truly cares about you; wants what is best for you too! She treats you like family, and reminds you to choose yourself which can be hard sometimes to remember when you're a mom. You won't regret having her by your side.

Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula | Childbirth Educator | Lactation Specialist As a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, I provide calm, nurturing, and evidence-based support for families through pregnancy, birth, and the newborn stage. My goal is to help parents feel informed, confident, and cared for every step of the way. Grant + Leah 2/20/2026 "Mari was assigned to us as a replacement doula when our original doula had a conflicting delivery. Mari immediately reached out and was flexible to our needs in early labor. My wife was laboring hard in triage for 7 hours (there was a major rush at the hospital, we couldn't get a room or her planned epidural for that long) and doesn't know how she would have coped without Mari. She immediately brought a calm presence to our situation while also helping us get the situation under control and manage contractions with various techniques. Mari also helped us execute on our birth plan and encouraged us to get rest whenever possible. We would recommend Mari to anybody seeking a doula." I truly cannot recommend my doula enough. She was by my side throughout my entire pregnancy journey, always there whenever I needed her—and often before I even realized I did. No question, concern, or doubt was ever too small. She patiently answered everything, reassured me, and helped prepare me both physically and mentally for a natural birth. She even provided monthly massages and other techniques that helped me feel more comfortable throughout my pregnancy. But my greatest gratitude is for everything she did during my labor. When my contractions started in the middle of the night, she came to my home at 2 a.m. without hesitation. She stayed with me through every single contraction, helping me cope with hip squeezes, lower back pressure, massage, acupuncture, labor combs, and a TENS machine. She continuously adjusted her techniques to help ease my pain and keep me focused. Around 9 a.m., we went to the hospital together, and she remained by my side for the entire labor until my baby was born. She stayed with me until 11 p.m., never leaving me alone. She advocated for me, made sure my birth preferences were respected, and did everything she could to make the experience as calm, positive, and empowering as possible. What makes her truly exceptional is her compassion. She doesn’t treat this as just a job—you can genuinely feel how deeply she cares about the mothers she supports. She gives her whole heart to making your pregnancy, labor, and birth experience as beautiful and comfortable as possible. Hiring her was one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy, and I honestly can’t imagine going through labor without her. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, dedicated, and incredibly caring doula, I recommend her with all my heart.

My experience with Bridgette was fantastic. My main reason for using a doula was I wanted someone in the birth room to be a fierce advocate while I was medicated and in pain and unable to advocate for myself. She was that and so much more. I had to push for 4 hours to get my little one out after already being in labor for 18 hours. The doctor said I was close to needing the vacuum to get her out and I credit Bridgette's knowledge, encouragement of frequent position changes while pushing and encouragement to keep hydrated and nourished with clear liquids to why I was able to get my little one out without the vacuum. Another thing that was a great help was giving my overwhelmed partner guidance on the best ways of helping me and keeping him calm and involved in a stressful situation. In addition to that she got the BEST pictures of the delivery while respecting the fact I didn't want any from the angle you could see my more intimate areas. I'll cherish those pictures forever. My birth was a beautiful wonderful experience. I have to credit part of it to luck but the majority of it to Bridgette.

Dale was my instructor through the MaternityWise Doula Program back in 2018. The moment I spoke with her, I knew I’d chosen the right path. She kept in constant contact and made sure I was fully prepared for class. Her teaching went beyond the binder—she shared the real ins and outs of the doula business, the birth experience, and answered every question. She opened up about her own life so we could see how being a doula fits into everyday life. One experience changed my life: Dale walked me through attending my first birth and gave me the confidence to take charge. She was also present for the birth of my last baby in 2019. When she arrived, she immediately made me feel calm and empowered. The doctors and nurses respected her so much—they even waited for her to arrive before breaking my water and asked for her approval. It was such a powerful moment. It was an honor that she cut my baby’s cord. Dale is the best and will always have my family’s love and respect

Hello! I am a Christian Mother of 5, Nurse, Birth and Postpartum Doula and Childbirth Educator. I have had the honor and privilege of helping others on this journey into motherhood. This is not a privilege that I take lightly. I want every parent to know that their voice matters and help them to actualize the strength they have within. Over the years I have picked up many tools in my toolbox to help with this. I am CPR and NRP certified, BSN prepared Nurse, worked in Labor and Delivery as a nurse for over 10 years, taken Spinning Babies course, assisted in both home and hospital births, taken advanced vbac skills courses, Advanced fetal monitor training, among much more. I would love to be your doula and if you think we would be a good fit, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Aris is an absolutely incredible doula. I recently gave birth to my first child and can honestly say that having Aris at my birth made what would have otherwise been a pretty traumatic experience, a very calm and empowering one. My birth plan had to pretty much go out the window due to unpredictable events during labor, and Aris was with me every step of the way, helping me feel like I was still in control when everything seemed like it was crumbling. She helped me reframe things in ways that my brain could understand at the time, and for that I am so grateful! She also advocated for me at multiple points to keep whatever aspects of my birth plan could still be safely implemented. She constantly anticipated my needs during the labor process and never once seemed tired despite staying up with us all throughout the night. She was also amazing at physically supporting me during labor with various counter-pressure and distracting sensation techniques. She taught my husband what to do as well, but honestly she was 1000x better at it and was so much stronger than him lol! My husband and I are both physicians who are relatively educated about the birth process, but she is truly a labor and delivery expert and taught us so much. Her experience as a labor and delivery nurse as well as a mother of five children makes her extremely qualified for this role. I cannot think of anyone I would recommend more if you are looking for a doula. If you are considering having a doula support you during your pregnancy/birth/postpartum, choose Aris -- you won't regret it! It was truly the best decision we made for my birth.

When my husband and I were seeking a doula, we initially selected Mylah due to the affordability of her services. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find that she consistently exceeded the original scope of her responsibilities. She genuinely demonstrates care for her clients, at least that was certainly our experience. Without delving into excessive detail, employing a doula was a crucial decision for support during this pregnancy. I have historically encountered difficulties advocating for myself with various medical professionals, my family, my workplace, and virtually all aspects of my life. I had grown quite weary of these challenges, but Mylah was instrumental in making this entire journey a success for us. She remained steadfast in her support, never dismissing my feelings, and consistently checking in on my husband and me, even inquiring about our son to see how he was adjusting. We dedicated months to crafting the birth plan, and she provided me with videos and feedback on exercises to prepare my body for the approaching day. When circumstances necessitated a medically induced labor, she maintained her composure. Adapting to the situation and providing the stability we needed for a successful unmedicated labor followed by a medicated vaginal birth. It is safe to say that without her, I do not believe I would have mentally navigated this pregnancy well. Previously, although I couldn't articulate it at the time, I experienced the onset of postpartum depression shortly after my son's birth. This time, despite being connected to a continuous infusion of IV medications, experiencing minor bleeding after birth, receiving significantly less support from other sources, and encountering numerous additional challenges, I can joyfully state that I am thriving, not merely surviving. I am uncertain how the remainder of this year will unfold, but I am confident that I will genuinely cherish the memories of my daughter's birth and newborn days. Thank you, Mylah, for helping me positively reframe my previous birth experience. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. To any of my friends or colleagues who may require a doula, I will wholeheartedly recommend your services.

I have nothing but great things to say about Debra! I was her client during 2024, and had my son in November 2024. I never hired a doula with my oldest so the process was as new to me and I wasn't sure what to expect, but Debra met me where I was at and guided me through the process so it was effortless. She was always available either by text or call and always checked in on me and made sure that I had any information and support I may need! I'm not in contact with my mother so Debra, being and mother and grandmother herself brought the motherly vibes which looking back is something I personally preferred Vs having a doula around my age. She actively listened to my preferences surrounding my birth experience and when the time came she was both respectful and thoughtful of my wishes. She advocated for things I didn't want in the delivery room for me while I was deep in labor. If you want a kind, caring, compassionate, reliable, and loving doula please don't think twice about hiring Debra you will not regret it!

Hi, I’m Gabrielle Taylor. I’ve been supporting mothers and newborns since February 2022, but my passion for women’s health began in my teenage years. I’m a proud mother of two—my children were born in 2017 and 2021. **I have teamed up with Danica Day to bring quality care and support to Frederick and the surrounding areas. You can read more about Danica here: https://www.dawnandduskdoulaco.com/** My first birth, a cesarean, was emotionally traumatic and left me feeling unsupported and unheard. In contrast, the birth of my second child was an empowering VBAC, made possible by the compassionate presence of an incredible doula. That experience was truly life-changing—it showed me the profound difference that informed, empathetic support can make. Now, my mission is to offer that same kind of transformative support to other families. Whether you're navigating your first birth or welcoming another child into your home, I’m here to help you feel confident, cared for, and connected. In today’s fast-paced world, motherhood can feel isolating—but I'm here to bridge that gap so you feel supported. The doula meets with the birthing person and their support person to discuss their prenatal needs, birthing preferences, and birthing environment choices - home birth; birthing center; or hospital. The doula also providers referrals to the appropriate medical personnel (primary care, OBGYN, Midwife, specialists, CLC (certified lactation counselor, IBCLC ( International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), etc) when it is determined that any issue(s) are out of the scope of practice of the doula. The doula facilitates communication between the birthing person and the medical team, helping to ensure that the birthing person's preferences and concerns are heard and understood

Shamon made me feel completely supported and cared for. From our very first virtual meeting, she created such a calm, reassuring presence through every message, video call, and check-in. She was always available to answer my questions, help me prepare mentally and emotionally, and remind me that I wasn’t alone in this journey. During labor, her guidance helped me stay focused, confident, and grounded. Her words of encouragement and gentle coaching made a world of difference. After birth, she continued to check in and offer support, helping me adjust and reminding me to care for myself as well as my baby. I’m so grateful for her kindness, patience, and knowledge. If you’re looking for a doula who provides genuine love, care, and empowerment, Shamon is absolutely amazing. ??

A Sacred Homecoming After 20 Years” I didn’t know how much I needed this. It’s been over 20 years since I gave birth, and yet my body—my womb—had been holding things I didn’t even realize. Grief. Silence. Stories. Experiencing the Closing Bones Ceremony with Dr. Soul was like being wrapped in love and truth all at once. She held space with such deep reverence, like she was listening not just to my words but to the parts of me I forgot how to speak from. This wasn’t just about healing from birth—it was about honoring the journey I never paused to feel. I walked away feeling lighter, more whole, more connected to myself as a woman. Dr. Soul’s spiritual presence, her grounded energy, and her ability to see beyond the surface—it’s something rare. This ceremony was closure, yes. But also rebirth. If you’re holding unspoken stories in your body, even decades later, let her guide you back home to yourself.
