About me
Hello, my name is Alora, and I am a Virginia state-certified, Medicaid-approved full spectrum doula serving families in Martinsville, Henry County, and surrounding areas, including bordering counties in North Carolina. My approach is rooted in compassion, education, and real-life experience.As a mother myself, I understand that no two journeys look the same, and there is no one “right” way to experience birth. I’m here to meet you where you are, support your choices without judgment, and help you navigate your options so you can make informed decisions that feel right for you. At ZenLena Partum Care, I provide full spectrum, community-based doula support designed to meet you wherever you are in your journey. Services include prenatal education and preparation, continuous labor support, and postpartum care with a strong focus on helping families transition smoothly into life with their baby. Postpartum support may include newborn care, emotional support, recovery guidance, light meal prep, and maintaining a calm, supported home environment. As a Medicaid-approved doula serving Martinsville, Henry County, and surrounding areas, including bordering counties in North Carolina, I am committed to making quality, compassionate care accessible to all families. My experience with Alora was wonderful. If I could give more stars, I would. From the very beginning, Alora guided my husband and me, as first-time parents, through finding doctors, learning about the stages of fetal development, and even showing us how to use a tennis ball and a rebozo to relieve stress on a pregnant body. At the same time, I was pregnant, I was able to create a birth plan with her, and for an additional fee, she offered her cleaning services since I was overwhelmed, and she had my home ready to receive a baby. Alora also provided us with many local resources and events. Even after my child was born, she still came by and still checks in on us. We really love Alora; she is a stellar doula.

From start to finish, my experience was nothing short of amazing. She is an incredible doula and an even more amazing human. The emotional support I received went far beyond pregnancy. She truly showed up for me as a whole person and connected me with resources even outside of pregnancy when I needed them most. For my last pregnancy, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
