I’m Molly, a Registered Dietitian, personal trainer turned corporate leader turned doula. My path has been anything but straight, but every turn taught me something I now bring to the families I support. I’ve done it all: built a career in sales and operations, raised four kids on my own, survived chaos, career shake-ups, and hot flashes … and came out stronger (and funnier) for it. Somewhere between climbing ladders and late-night feedings, I realized what truly fills me up: helping women feel capable, calm, and confident in their own transitions. Now, as a certified labor, delivery, and postpartum doula, I use science, intuition, and lived experience to support families through birth and beyond. I am a photographer and doula. I am the co-founder of The Nurturing Company. My teammate and I offer birth photography, birth support, postpartum support, birth and postpartum prep, and a variety of photography session options. It is our goal that families working with us feel held and supported as they enter into this chapter of their parenthood journey. As a doula, I provide physical, emotional, and informational support for families during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I am passionate about helping families through education and advocacy. As a birth photographer, I artfully document birth stories to capture all the details of how each birth unfolds. I became a Certified Lactation Counselor in 2018, completed the Clinical and Communication Lactation Specialist training in 2021, and then passed the International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant exam in 2023. I'm certified as a birth and postpartum doula by Lifespan Doulas. Love for my own family and my community has led me to focus on health education, promoting awareness of human lactation, and assisting in extending breastfeeding duration and exclusivity for the families I serve. I am passionate about accessible lactation care and enthusiastic about health and wellness promotion and youth development. My goal is simply to aid others in being healthy and keeping their family healthy. My expertise is in maternal and child health, emphasizing a positive breastfeeding experience and an active family lifestyle. I'm Stephanie with Gentle Birthing, and my interest in birth work was awakened the day my first child was born in 2010 at home, surrounded by our midwife and birthing team. It was at that point I realized that more women need to know their birthing options. We had 4 more home water births in South Carolina before returning to Southeast Michigan where we welcomed our 6th child at home in 2020. I enjoy learning about the physiology of pregnancy and the process of giving birth and am fascinated with all the different natural coping techniques for pain management. With each of my own births, I implemented something new I had learned along the way. I hope to support expecting mothers in the ways I have received encouragement and support from the birth workers in my life. Their support changed the way I thought about birth and what I was capable of doing.
