first baby, hoping for a unmedicated home birth, unknown budget

I need a midwife who does home births. I plan to keep my placenta, I want to do a lotus birth.

Looking into giving a Home water birth I need a midwife and doula to help me with the process this is my third vaginal child

I'm planning my second birth and likely final birth. I've been drawn to home birth but was too fearful the first time around. If I'll never get to do this again, I want the opportunity to experience a peace filled birth. The birth of my son was A LOT - I wanted zero interventions and I ended up with an epidural and pitocin. The midwife who actually delivered baby didn't have me change position once (which previous providers on staff did - which seemed helpful). The cord was around babys neck so every time he went in and out of the birth canal, he lost circulation. After he came out, they cut his cord immediately and took him away - again, not what I wanted for either of us. I 'spiked a fever' during labor (I didn't...), so they made me and baby stay in the hospital for 5 days of antibiotics and observation - luckily, both of our IV's got accidentally ripped out by the provider after the first dose and we refused the remaining doses - we just stayed for observation. It was miserable. I was up for almost 5 days straight because I couldn't sleep with my baby next to me and I didn't produce milk because I was so stressed. I want a positive birth experience. It's going to take some convincing to get my partner on board, but I don't want to regret this forever. I'd like to give birth at home. I'm 22wks along, so need to make a decision now. I'm open to discussing budget. I have a provider at Henry Ford Hospital - so I've had labs and ultrasounds done and can continue. Baby is healthy and thriving - so am I. First baby. I'm currently at 23 weeks. Prefer in-home water birth but willing to have delivery at a near by birthing center. My husband and I have Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO.

I am looking for more personalized care than what I have been receiving this far. I will probably be delivering at Oaklawn Hospital or Hillsdale Hospital. My birth plan has always been "safe momma, safe baby" - whatever we need to do to achieve those things, I am open to.

Not currently expecting, but planning. I solely am looking for a professional to come to my home and is there in case of an emergency, and to do the tedious work like weighing, measuring, and likely bring any needed paperwork. No prenatal care or post care I am set with that. To be frank, I have watched about 20 species of animals give birth, have helped if necessary , and humans have been doing just fine without medical intervention since the beginning of time; it isn’t a medical emergency (unless there is one). To be honest, it isn’t a woo-woo “beautiful” experience to me, OR something that always needs a hospital visit, it’s simply nature. But because things can still happen, I’d prefer someone there in case medical intervention is needed. Since I cannot find a birthing center near me (where I may be allowed to snack/walk/birth in any position I’d like) I am highly considering a home birth, with minimal intervention. Unless there’s an emergency you’re fine to eat snacks on the couch, if I feel sick or am in pain I kind of get irritated at the “you’re doing great” pep talk things, so I don’t think I would really enjoy that, just looking for the expertise.

We are early 20s military couple who will be just getting out only two months before babies born.. so finances are tight trying to buy a home and get bearing together. We want a close relationship with our midwife. Christan midwife would be amazing.
