I have seen a LC before and am looking to work with someone again. I have some general questions, including about pumping and some other things, right now I EBF but will return to work in January. I am scheduling due to increasing pain. The latch is painful and sometimes I get a shooting pain, but now I have a new worrisome pain that happens in my right even when I’m not breastfeeding. Also I believe he has a shallow latch. I have blue cross blue shield.

Having a hard time getting my 6 day old baby to eat. He seems to suck and no milk come out a majority of the time, i have tried 5 different bottles and none of them really seem to make a difference. He was eating about 30-35 ml a feeding then yesterday around 7 he would not feed it went on all night and he woke up starving, he ate 50 ml of milk. I’ve tried to feed him again because he seemed fussy and ready to eat and he sucked on the bottle but barely any milk came out again. I’m just worried about him and really want to get him eating a higher amount of of milk and would love some advice.

My baby and I are struggling with breastfeeding, latching in particular. I have been pumping to maintain my supply. However, she gets extremely frustrated every time we try to latch. Sometimes she will latch for a few short seconds and then stops and gets frustrated again.

Baby not latching properly, how to feeding, pumping effectively

I plan to give birth at a hospital. This is my second child. I have a two-year-old toddler. I don’t want to spend any more than 800-900 dollars. I want to give birth vaginally, but I do plan on using medication to help the pain.

I plan to give birth in the hospital with a natural/unmedicated birth. This is my 2nd child and I did not have a postpartum doula with the first and I very much regret not having that support especially to help with breastfeeding. It is difficult for me to provide an estimated budget as I don’t really know what the average cost is for a postpartum doula.

My hope is to be able to breastfeed my first baby coming this August. I know very little about breastfeeding, and the women in my family have not breastfed so do not know how to offer support. I want to be as prepared as possible to be successful in this journey, so I’d love to possibly find a lactation consultant.

I’m looking to find a lactation consultant for my daughter. She is first time mother and wants to breast feed. I had wonderful nurses and OB that gave me the support and guidance for success. I have seen close friends and relatives be without support give up on breastfeeding. Baby will arrive at Soarrow.. I’m not sure on budget, as I’m not aware of the price ranges, I really want to gift this type of support for her for the first month or so.

I need a LC or IBCLC to assist in getting my son to latch and his sucking needs strengthened. He did amazing in the hospital but, a day after getting discharged he was readmitted for jaundice. He also lost over a lb. Due to the need of weight gain and the issues with suction and latch I fed him bottles of expressed milk that whole night in the hospital. So now I need to work on transitioning him back along with his latch and pull. He is 10 days old and didn't have a bottle until 6 days old. My estimated budget is pretty low

Desire to birth naturally without medication/epidural with encouraging people around me. My mom and husband will be present. This is my first pregnancy. Plan to have baby at St Joes in Ypsilanti. I live in Dexter. My maximum budget is $2000

My daughter is almost 2 weeks old. This is my first time with exclusive breastfeeding and I feel like I could use some more support and education. I would like to incorporate pumping and am a little confused about the whole process. I have researched a lot and gotten a lot of different information, so a tailored approach might be more helpful.

Will give birth at Corewell in Royal Oak. I want to go the natural route and would like to birth at the natural birthing center connected to the hospital. I will be 35 when I deliver. My husband is a huge support but will need coaching himself. My hope is to breast feed exclusively for the first 2-3 weeks and then incorporate some pumping. I am planning an all natural route but also understand the need for some intervention in event of increased risk for my baby or myself. I also work in the hospital and in healthcare and understand that some intervention is in place for liability/convenience purposes and not necessarily for mom and baby.

I need help with Re lactation, and milk supply. My son was diagnosed with Failure To Thrive end of September. I was supplementing at the time and due to not knowing his issues, we stopped breastfeeding. Well now, it is all he will take. & I need to up my supply as I’m getting small drops by bumping and hand expressing.
